If you are planning a Santa Barbara wedding, this real wedding will definitely inspire you! Whitney and Dave brag big time about their Santa Barbara wedding vendors and will share with you why they had the best the town had to offer! They were married at Montecito Country Club and I love their soft and romantic color palette. Lots of beautiful going on here! Enjoy!

Early on we thought finding a photographer local to our wedding location would be a good idea, they would know the 'ins and outs' of our location, as well as the ability to work well with all of our local Santa Barbara wedding vendors. After perusing the websites of the local top photographers, there was a clear stand out, Melissa Musgrove. Our initial meeting at her studio was very comfortable, we felt right at home, and we instantly clicked. It wasn't long before we knew she was the one for the job! Melissa was nice enough to come to Manhattan Beach, where we live, for our engagement shoot. Having the engagement session really helped us to get to know one another and I think it was a big part of the reason we were so comfortable with her on the big day and why we have so many amazing photos to choose from. Although the wedding is over, Melissa and I still remain in contact today, we were extremely lucky to have her as our photographer!

Planning a wedding is a huge undertaking; when looking for a coordinator I was hoping for someone who was cool under pressure, very detail oriented, and was able to help and offer advice in areas we really needed help and didn't know too much about. Shortly after meeting Jackie Blackwell, we knew she would be perfect for the job! She was a tremendous help, and I could not imagine the wedding going as smoothly as it did without her great attention to detail and organization. Not only was she great but an added bonus, her husband is the head chef at The Montecito Country Club.

When thinking of where to get married, I had some ideas in mind in terms of likes and dislikes, but we really did not have our hearts set on anything. For me I did not want to be in some boring, four walled ballroom that can interchange from a meeting banquet space to a wedding reception. We wanted to do something different, not repeating any of our friends great weddings, and make it a mini destination, not wanting it to be too far from our hometowns of Newport Beach, Pasadena, and now Los Angeles, the cities where the majority of our guests would be coming from. We spent a very long day up in Santa Barbara looking at several venues, Montecito Country Club being the last on the long list of places we visited. When entering the club we took in the gorgeous fireplaces, vaulted wood beam ceilings, the massive window overlooking the golf course and ocean, and quickly realized before even taking another step into the building that we had found the place where we were going to be married. After touring the country club and space where the cocktail hour and reception would be held we were taken to the place where the wedding ceremony would be. It was a grassy bluff overlooking the golf course, ocean, and Santa Barbara. The breathtaking views really finalized the decision on the Montecito Country Club.

Enjoy the process, have fun, and don't sweat the small stuff! It truly is an incredible time with family and friends so enjoy every minute of it, because it really is the best day of your lives!

Having such a gorgeous venue; grassy bluff overlooking the ocean for the ceremony, and a unique classic club to host the cocktails and reception, we knew that we only needed a few more gorgeous touches to bring it all together. We worked with an incredible team to help us achieve the soft romantic feel that fit the setting we were in. Soft, blush, and romantic tones were used throughout the venue with the linens, and amazing flowers. Although peonies (my favorite flower) were not in season, our florist really understood our vision, and executed it perfectly with lots of big fluffy roses in blush soft tones. We worked with Laura Sangas from Cody Floral; she was an absolute pleasure to work with. After providing her with a few thoughts, ideas, colors, and pictures, for inspiration we were on the same page. The final result was above and beyond what we ever could have imagined!
