Diane + Mike, tell us about Diane and Mike.

A little about us: Diane is quiet. Mike is not. We love our cat (Frankie) more than humans probably should. Diane's obsessed with mint chocolate. Mike's obsessed with finding the perfect sweater. When we travel, it's tradition that we ride carousels, go to arcades, and sing Karaoke really, really badly. We're currently rebuilding an '80s Japanese economy car which we will take many an early morning road trip in, while singing our little hearts out to Fleet Foxes. We're based in Calgary, Canada, but we love to travel worldwide.

Your images are just incredible. I can feel the personalities radiating... how do capture your peeps so well?

So here's the thing: we don't think photography should take over your wedding day. We truly believe the experiences you have that day are just as (or more) important than getting great photos. But hey, let's do both! After all, the greatest photos COME FROM great experiences (not by turning your day into a photoshoot).

To put it bluntly, we hate that portion of the wedding industry that tells couples they need to do things a certain way - look a certain way, spend a ton of money, or get photos that look far too perfect. We don't believe in spending hours on your wedding day posing for pictures. We believe that couples should spend the day actually doing what they want (this sounds so obvious, but it's a bit of a foreign concept for a lot of people). Go bowling! Eat tacos! Go for a hike! You get great photos from actually having fun, instead of just posing for three hours, and being something that maybe you're not
