Welcome to International Week on RMW - yes, that's right - we're going global! This week we're treating you to some of the most beautiful, elegant and fun weddings IN THE WORLD. In fact, I'd go as far to say that this week you'll see some of the prettiest weddings EVER to hit RMW.

And it's all because our Love Lust List, our handpicked directory of wedding suppliers, has gone international!

If you haven't already found our Love Lust List - then where have you been?! It's the place to go to find suppliers who we think are great and who will help you create the wedding of your dreams.

And now, we are helping you find great suppliers from all over the world!

This morning we are off to Maine, USA. It's no exaggeration when I say that this wedding took my breath away. The incredible natural scenery, the use of light, the feeling of warmth that radiates from the family images...

Tania & Christopher's wedding is absolutely beautiful. They married at Tania's family home, surrounded by the sea and by people they love. The images from Rebekah J Murray are exquisite.

Tania has some wonderful words of advice about embracing imperfection too. It's definitely something we all need to remember from time-to-time.

Tania The Bride: When we started planning our wedding, we decided that our two priorities were having a meaningful ceremony and making our guests feel comfortable and loved. Everything else fell in line behind that. I know that wedding blogs typically focus on all the tiny details (which are beautiful and a lot of fun) but we tried to keep in mind that the details were just details.

As we planned our wedding, we decided on the small things by asking ourselves "Will this detail make our guests feel loved and special?" If it would matter to them, it mattered to us. Remembering that helped us stay sane through the wedding planning process and kept us focused on what really mattered: celebrating our happy relationship and sharing it with the people we love most in the world.

We were lucky to have a lot of help planning and carrying out our wedding. This made the whole day feel so personal and full of love. Every detail had the touch of our friends and family in it. We were married by Christopher's childhood friend in the backyard of my family's house on the water in Maine.

We wrote the entire ceremony ourselves, incorporating words and advice from several traditions. Our guests looked out over the ocean during our ceremony and we had a "happy hour" in the backyard afterward where guests skipped rocks in the water or sat on rocking chairs on the wraparound porch. Our good friends set up stereo equipment and played folk music before and after the ceremony, and a talented friend offered to play his violin for us while I walked down the aisle.

My girlfriends did my hair, lent me jewellery, and decorated the entire reception venue. Christopher's mother baked cookies for the reception and my mom put together my bouquet from flowers picked by a local farm.

My best friend's husband was learning about videography and offered to tape our wedding for us. One of the most special things about the day was that nearly everyone contributed in some way - my uncle brought liquor to make his own bar for the rehearsal dinner, my grandparents picked up the cake, our friends arranged tables and chairs, our mothers arranged the flowers using flowers my grandmother grew in her garden, my cousins sang Irish songs for us. With so many people involved in, it made the weekend feel like a communal celebration.

Christopher was deeply involved throughout the planning - it was his wedding, too! And he shared with me two big reflections on our planning process. First, he told me he loved being married by the ocean because it meant we had to do very little decoration of the ceremony site, since the ocean itself was the most beautiful backdrop. It made it easy to stay simple with the other decorations, since we wanted to just highlight the natural beauty of our location. Secondly, he shared that he loved being married in the tiny town where my family has had roots for 100 years.

It felt like the whole town was our wedding venue, since we walked the half-mile from my family's house to the town hall/library where we had our reception. In fact, the walk was one of the best parts of the day, even though we had worried over the logistics. Having 90 people walking down a tiny dirt road was imperfect and hilarious and wonderful.

Really, this imperfect moment captured what was so lovable about our wedding. The day wasn't entirely scripted or perfect, but that's what made it special. Embracing imperfection is a valuable lesson about planning a wedding but it is also, of course, one of the greatest gifts you can have in a marriage.
