The flowers in today's wedding are so, so, so pretty. Every time Karen's bouquet sneaks into shot, it just looks divine. If I was her, I don't think I'd have let it go all day. AND the coral roses used are called Little Miss Piggy. Isn't that the best name ever?

I also love Karen's choice of the brightly coloured Bridesmaid gowns - her girls look ravishing and they makes the perfect contrast to the natural surroundings of the venue, Shottle Hall, in the rolling Derbyshire countryside.

There are so many fun shots of the wedding party - anyone looking for something different for their group shots should take note. Matt and his gangster Groomsmen, and Karen and her glamorous girlies, all look like they are having so much fun and it's the perfect tone for their Great Gatsby inspired day.

Karen The Bride: The company that I work for is based on Bermondsey Street in Central London which traditionally has associations with the textile and leather industry. There are still a few dress makers in the area, and after having little success finding something I liked off the rack, Susie Stone was recommended to me by a friend and I decided to go bespoke.

I really enjoyed the experience which Susie made so easy and personal. I knew I wanted a fairly sleek dress rather than one with a big full skirt, but other than that my only preference was to have lace on the top because I didn't want it to be fully strapless. At my first consultation Susie drew 7 or 8 sketches of designs and we discussed choices for materials. After I had chosen the one I wanted to go for and my measurements had been taken, Susie and her pattern cutter got started on the dress. They made 2 practice runs - called a toile - to get the fit right before making it up in the final materials. The end result was perfect; a 1920s inspired ivory silk satin gown with delicate lace bodice, which was in keeping with the elements of Gatsby chic that we based our theme on.

I wanted to have fairly simple jewellery so all I had was a pearl necklace and earrings from a shop in the Birmingham jewellery quarter, and a Tiffany bracelet lent to me by my sister which has a little blue heart on it (my something blue).

Susie Stone also made my veil which matched my dress. It had a lace edge all the way round and was very delicate and pre,y. It rounded off the look that I wanted for the day, and was very comfortable to wear. I also had a rustic looking gold and pearl tiara that I wore in the evening which was given to me by my Mum who wore it on her wedding day.

I wanted quite "country" style flowers for my bouquet, and didn't really shop around much. As we live in London, I had no idea of any of the florists in Derbyshire, so I did a quick Google search and found Tineke who are based in my husband's home town of Matlock. The girls at Tineke were soo helpful though, they gave me loads of ideas and suggestions of flowers that would be in season and would fit my theme.

We chose to use a coral rose called Little Miss Piggy as the dominant colour in my bouquet, and balanced that out with some cream spray roses, gypsophilia and some other colourful country flowers. They also chose to add fountain grass and eucalyptus as some greenery which I loved as it gave a nice texture and smelt beautiful.

When deciding where to get married, I had my heart set on it being in the countryside, so it made sense to look for venues around the Peak District where Matt grew up. We had viewed quite a few in a range of prices and styles, and even considered just ge[ng a marquee at the local rugby club for a while, but in the end we settled on Shottle Hall which is a Victorian country house in the Chatsworth Estate. We liked the fact that it was a fairly blank canvas, with elegant but not over the top décor. It also offers 8 rooms for the bridal party to stay in overnight which was great considering we had a lot of people travelling up from the South.

We searched lots of vintage and antique shops in Matlock to find items that we thought would enhance the styling of the wedding. We ended up with 3 old leather suitcases, a beautiful Imperial Type Writer and some coupe champagne glasses from Mister Bee Vintage in Bakewell, and some old style tennis rackets and boules that we got in charity shops as we wanted to have some lawn games to entertain our guests during our reception drinks. For table decorations, I decided I wanted to use china water jugs to hold the flowers, which I collected from eBay and charity shops. For the final touch, we bought some large and small dried petals to use as confetti and scatter on the tables.

Matt likes fashion, and getting dressed up so I think he enjoyed getting his ouiit together for the wedding! He decided he also wanted to go bespoke with his suit, and chose to have it made by a vintage style tailor on Saville Row. He chose quite a vivid blue for the material which was a mohair blend that Cad & The Dandy recommended.

We didn't really want to spend a lot of money on the wedding invites, so we started off with a save the date that we did ourselves by taking a few black and white photos at home, holding up the words "Save The Date" and the wedding date. We then later had the invites designed by my sister in law, who painted an image of two peacocks in our colour theme, with some Gatsby style borders and our initials on. We then had this printed on post cards by a company called Twenty10 Digital.

For the evening, we decided quite late on that we would like to have a band. Matt went to New Orleans a few years ago and got really into New Orleans Jazz so we wanted to get a band that had that sort of feel. A friend of ours plays trombone so through him, Matt met with Vince Dunn, a drummer who lives near us in London, and who runs several bands, from a full orchestra to smaller setups. We saw them perform as the orchestra in a Jazz bar in Streatham and chose to book them, as the dynamic of the band was quite flexible. Matt is a big karaoke fan, and he planned with Vince to sing "I Feel Like Funking It Up" by the rebirth brass band along with his best men and ushers!

I think I actually got Kathryn's details from the RMW Love Lust List, and she was a fantastic find! I thought that Kathryn's portfolio of images was just the kind of style I wanted to have for our wedding. On the day of the wedding I loved having Kathryn around. She is so relaxed, helpful, and great fun!

At the end of the day, when the sun was starting to go down, Kathryn took myself and Matt into a corn field at the back of Shottle Hall, and the results are so beautiful, and my favourite of the day! I can't wait to get them blown up and framed to display in my flat!
