A Woods, Barn & Cornfield Engagement | Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

This afternoon I have a lovely little love story for you. I just adore hearing how couples met and got engaged and Pete and Ann's proposal story is a gem! I won't spoil the story but shall leave you to enjoy it for yourselves.

They headed to their wedding venue for their shoot before exploring the woods, a barn and the cornfields. Gorgeous.

Thanks so much to the super wonderful Lucy Little for the stunning photographs.

"Ann was in a play called 'Brassed Off' and at the finale on the last night of the show, Ann stepped forward to take her bow. At this point two large banners that ran the whole length of two rows were raised, and they said: 'Ann Saville Marry Me'. The traditional getting down on one knee was done in the theatre bar afterwards... and of course Ann said yes!" "A friend of ours sent a link via Facebook about Lucy, we instantly knew looking at Lucy's work we wanted her for our day. One phone call and we were booked in. The engagement shoot took place partly at what is going to be the wedding venue - Arley Hall & Gardens - the rest was taken in some woods and a borrowed barn next to a cornfield. Lucy was amazing and put us at ease, we had a really great time with lots of laughs, perfect preparation for the wedding day!" "Our wedding is on 2nd August 2014, with a ceremony at St Mary's Great Budworth church then onto Arley Hall for the reception and evening. The theme for the wedding is vintage with a few nice little surprises for our guests along the way! :)"

From Pete and Ann; "We met through mutual friends in 2009, our first date was couple's bowling. Our first "proper" date was on a Thursday evening in the Northern Quarter at a few quiet bars. Ann was on holiday from work, but Pete had work the next day and drove... therefore Ann got drunk!"

Oh so romantic, and what did I tell you about that proposal?! :-)

Thanks so much for sharing guys XOXO Lou
