Cannes Film Festival official starts tomorrow and I love the film season, watching the ladies of the red carpet and lusting over how they achieve their perfect red carpet looks. Well no need to be left wondering anymore, as FWS Resident Hair and Beauty Expert Victoria Farr shares her secrets on achieving perfect red carpet glamour looks in her Cannes Film Festival Makeup Inspiration.

I know who I am booking to glamourize me for the next awards evening!

Cannes...radiates glamour and elegance. I love how the ladies attending the week long event go from under stated summer dress for press attendances to the most amazing gowns for the red carpet, each look perfectly teamed with hair and make up styling.

Here are two of my favourite red carpet ladies;

Here's how you can recreate this classic, chic and just a little bit glamorous red carpet look yourself.

A good canvas; Always start with a thorough facial cleanse and giving yourself a little face massage when applying your moisturiser, which will 'wake' the bloody flow to the skin's surface. Wait around 10 minutes for the skin to absorb the moisturiser before applying your base. You will see on the red carpet, skin is luminous and radiant to give a more youthful glowing look. Dependent upon your skin type, I love the YSL Touche Eclait foundation to achieve this look or if you prefer something with more of a matt finish and more coverage, Estee Lauder's double wear light is perfect. A light dusting of powder around the centre of the face will set the foundation and keep the look fresh.

The lashes have it; To give the illusion of thicker and fuller lashes apply a kohl pencil liner to the root of the top lash line, getting right in between those lashes. Apply a small amount of pencil along the lash line and then gently smudge with a cotton bud to soften and give a smouldering look, apply a good coat of mascara, concentrating on the root of the lashes before bring up to the ends, apply a second coat if you feel the need to.

Lips to remember; With the eyes focusing on the lashes, you can keep it nude, I have recently tried Tom Ford's Nude Vanille or you can opt for your favourite shade of red.

Tresses to lust after; whatever your hair length, I find heated rollers will give you this look perfectly, I use the Babyliss Pro 30 piece Ceramic Roller Set

Here's how to achieve the look;

Starting with a wide parting, set the hair with the heated rollers, emphasising on the side where the hair is to sit using medium size rollers (shorter hair) or small size for (longer hair) around this side of the face, the smaller the roller, the tighter the curl. Leave to cool and the brush out the curls, brushing under the hair, which will smooth out the curl into a wave, apply a little serum or finishing cream and spray with a flexible hold hairspray
