The Meeting...

Maciej and I met online in winter of 2012 and we decided to go on a date after getting to know each other that weekend. I was a little hesitant about going on the date since I thought it was dangerous to meet people from the internet but I decided to give him a chance. He was actually quite pleasant to talk to and we hit it off.

Love...

We knew we were in love when he went to Greece for his work. It was only 2 weeks after we started knowing each other and he sent me a beautiful bouquet of red roses for my birthday and a photo of stones shaped as a giant heart in Greece with my name.

The Proposal...

Maciej proposed to me in April 2013. We planned to go to New Caledonia for the long weekend and I knew that he had brought the engagement ring with him to Brisbane so I asked him for it before the special day that he had planned for us. I do not regret it since I really wanted the ring on my finger.

Wedding Theme...

I wanted a natural and romantic setting for my wedding.

The Dress...

I bought my wedding dress from The Fashion Gallery in Townsville. It was an Alfred Angelo wedding dress.

Bridesmaids...

Groom...

Maciej was wearing a suit from M.J. Bale.

Wedding Flowers...

White Roses for the bridal bouquet. Mixed powder pink roses for the bridesmaid bouquet

Wedding Decorations...

I wanted to take the advantage of the breathtaking scenery at The Bunyip Scenic Rim Resort and therefore I wanted to have the reception dinner outside on the deck. We put hanging glass balls around the beams with candles to create a romantic setting at night. I put birdcages with white rose balls inside as centrepieces to create a whimsical feel.

On the Menu...

• Entrée- Bruschetta/ Quiche with salad
• Main- Chargrilled sirloin with café de paris butter with roasted vegetables/ maple glazed salmon with wilted spinach
• Dessert- mini cheesecakes/ chocolate mousse

Wedding Favours...

• wine bottle stoppers
• heart shaped soaps/ bath bombs
• Polish chocolates
• wine bottles

Special Memories...

Immediately following our wedding ceremony we participated in this polish traditional activity. Maciej and I each had to choose one shot glass. There were two shot glasses: one containing water and the other containing vodka. In the polish tradition, the person that chooses the vodka gets to wear the pants in the relationship. I obviously got the vodka shot glass

Our photo shoot was very special. I really loved the scenery and our photographer was amazing.

We mostly played love songs and some music from the 80s. Our first dance music was 'For you I will' by Monica.
