Accent Your Wedding With Radiant Orchid

via

Radiant Orchid is not just a flower, it's this years Pantone color of the year! And this gorgeous shoot is all about showing you how to incorporate that color into your wedding without drenching everything in it. Try making it an accent color that bounces off a great base color! This allows the Radiant Orchid to stand out and surprise your guests.

The ceremony space was very organic and nature inspired. A silver steel structure was made to hang a backdrop of radiant orchid dip dyed white feathers. Moss hung from the silver structure and deep purple flowers added a pop of additional color. A moss base was also used on the focal point for the space and additional vintage silver pieces held other flowers in various purple shades, around the base. The aisle was lined with a path of dip dyed feathers, which added a whimsical feel to the overall design. Guests were escorted to their seats by hand painted escort cards, in varying shades of purple tones, with white calligraphy, and hung with deep purple ribbon. The escort cards were displayed on a metal wire frame (made to add a bit of an industrial feel to the overall design) that was given a pretty upgrade using moss and fern leaves. Pretty floral touches, in purples and radiant orchid, were placed upon the display, as well, to add a romantic touch. For the color palette of our shoot, I paired Radiant Orchid with gorgeous jewel tones of dark navy, deep purple, and deep greens. A moss table runner ran down the center of the table and vintage silver pieces held various flowers in different jewel toned shades along with pretty little pops of our color of the year, radiant orchid. White feathers, dip dyed in varying shades of purples, were used to tie the entire design together and give it more of an organic and earthy feel. I wanted to do something different and unexpected for the cake, so I created a triple berry ice cream cake. Three separate ice cream layers were topped with a berry glaze and fresh berries. The berry glaze complimented the jewel toned color palette of the design.
