Modern Botanical Wedding Inspiration

Modern Botanical Wedding Inspiration

We've been loving the abundance of the incredible wedding inspiration, influenced by beautiful botanicals, that we've been seeing out there lately. And while it's only natural to think florals + foliage when conceptualizing a styled shoot, it takes a lot of creativity + intent to get the right look. We love that today's gorgeous session, sent to us by This Love of Yours Photography + Harvesting Love Events, applies a beautiful balance of masculine + feminine design and details to inspire an event that truly brings the outdoors in.

From Lorraine of Harvesting Love, The best way to describe this photo shoot is West Elm meets Anthropologie. If you're in love with midcentury, botanicals, vintage, and copper, this is the styled shoot is for you. It was very important to me to create something that incorporated a masculine look but with a lot of femininity to the design. Oftentimes I find that my brides get carried away with making their wedding look very feminine that they often forget about infusing their partners taste as well. I believe it's important to make sure an event truly reflects those that are being celebrated.

We totally adore the location for this one...a historical two-room schoolhouse in Northern California.

Long-sleeved wedding dresses always get us! For look similar to this one, check out BHLDN's Anabelle dress paired with the Amelie Topper and La Belle Sash.

A fun DIY to try: Since copper is really expensive and I did not want to spend $100+ on just one vase, I ended up using copper metal sheets to cover the glass vases. Instead of paying $100, I ended up only spending $6 or less for each vase including materials. Plus, it only took me 5 minutes to do!

And are you as in love with this fern "hair clip" as we are? It's not some expensive metal adornment, but actually two real fern leaves sprayed with copper spray paint! Lorraine recalls, The fern leaf was very sturdy. All we did was used some bobby pins to pin it on. Another easy 5 minute project!

Such a sweet shoot! We love how you can take bits + pieces of this editorial and easily incorporate them into your event's design! Big thanks to the talented team of creatives below for sharing their work with us today!
