I am unleashing my inner retro chic today with my houndstooth wedding ideas. Houndstooth or sometimes known as dogstooth is a textile pattern characterised by duotone checks or abstract four-pointed shapes. Whilst it comes in many colours I am sticking with the classic black and white colour palette which adds a Chanel-esq quality to the inspiration board.

This is a bold pattern that needs to be used sparingly against classic monochrome elements to stand out. Opt for black bridesmaid dresses instead of houndstooth and classic white macarons with black filling will add a dramatic feature centrepiece to the reception, not to mention a houndstooth cake!
