Hey lovely people!

Goodness, am I excited to tell you about today's post! We're gonna spend sometime getting to know the simply divine Kye, of Kye Tew Jewellery, you are just going to love her work! We'll be finding out the inspiration behind her incredible pieces, how you can get your hands on one and what makes this incredible designer tick!

From her workshop in Exeter, Kye creates the most beautiful off-the-shelf pieces, as well as wholly bespoke pieces, incorporating and recycling vintage, antique and pre-loved items into something truly original and totally free-spirited... Could she sound any more up our street?!

Before we chat with Kye, I should totally mention that this lovely lady is offering a 10% discount to you, our awesome readers, on any of her jewellery pieces until the end of August! All you have to do is simply quote 'FESTIVALBRIDES KTJ' at her checkout! Amazing, right? Get yourself over there and get browsing!

So everyone, meet the sweetheart that is Kye...

Kye Tew Jewellery was created following a passion and love for all things antique and vintage as well as a love for jewellery. I love the mix of old and new and especially reclaiming these beautiful original antique Victorian, 1920s, 30s pieces and creating a contemporary piece of jewellery. I began by creating pieces for myself which then swiftly grew into creating pieces for others and so it went from there. I love designing each and every piece and ensuring that they're completely unique!

Creating Bespoke Wedding Jewellery, particularly my beautiful statement headdresses (which I just adore!), has gone from strength to strength and I love meeting and working with every bride. Every bride is so different, which makes creating something beautifully unique and individual for her wedding day just such a wonderful job.

Most of my inspiration comes from beautiful old jewellery: Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and the art deco pieces. They're just crying out for a new lease of life, to be transformed into a piece of contemporary jewellery for the 21 st Century Bride. It's amazing to think of the stories behind these pieces and what they've been through over the years.

I definitely have a vision for each design though, this comes from not only the pieces, but also from looking at all the amazing dresses and unique designers we have on offer. A perfect example of a designer I love is the Spanish wedding dress designer, Yolan Cris. Her dresses are unique, bohemian and they work wonderfully with my headdresses. I recently designed a bespoke 5 band headdress for a bride who wore the Yolan Cris 'Paris' dress and she looked just so fabulous and beautiful!

Well, my jewellery is very distinctive, individual and every one of my pieces are beautiful one offs... That's the attraction for a Kye Tew bride.

Every piece is different to the next, so no single bride will ever be wearing the same piece; it's what makes my pieces exclusive and attracts all my lovely brides. Every bride wants to have a special unique piece for her wedding day.

My brides are all so different which is wonderful, I get to meet so many different characters, whether you are having a chilled out beach wedding, a city wedding in Central London or in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, I'll design a piece of jewellery to work with every dress and every occasion.

A Kye Tew bride is one who wants to be that little bit different on her wedding day; a Kye Tew bride is a Festival Bride!

I'd love to attend a lovely local South West festival this year .... The Somersault Festiva l in North Devon sounds like it will be great, a bit of camping in a yurt and listening to the wonderful Jack Johnson and Ben Howard play.

With my bespoke service, if something from my website is not available or they have something else in mind, I'll work with a bride to create the perfect piece. I also offer a service whereby brides can give me an old heirloom, a sentimental piece, for example, their Granny's old brooch or her necklace and I'll design a new piece of contemporary jewellery for their big day.

Where possible, I prefer to make face-to-face appointments with my clients to get a real feel for their specification and style, meeting either in central London or Devon. However this is not always possible which is completely fine too, we can as easily discuss all your requirements over email.

Delivery times depend on whether you buy one of my beautiful, pre-designed pieces straight from my website or whether you'd like to commission a bespoke piece. It's 2 weeks for any pieces bought directly or between 6-8 weeks for a commission piece.

As for shipping costs, all pieces are sent next day delivery at £7.95.

Happiness comes when you believe in what you are doing, know what you are doing and love what you are doing.

...Beautiful stuff, Kye! We just love what you do and having you pay us a visit here at Festival Brides has been ace. How I wish I'd seen your Simone headdress when I got married back in September. I mean, what could work more perfectly in a woodland setting that tiny gold leaves and coin pearls!? Boho perfection!

If you'd like to meet Kye and take a look at some of her stunning pieces in the flesh, make sure you head down to The Wedding Show on the 11 and 12 th of October this year at Westpoint, Exeter or you can find her at The Late Summer Garden Party at the Deer Park Country Hotel between 6 - 8.30pm on the 18th September! She's a busy gal!

Now, go dig out that heirloom piece you've always wondered what to do with and get your thinking cap on! (Should that be 'thinking headdress'?!)
