At RMW we find that more and more of you lovely lot veer away from the traditional department store wedding lists and instead ask friends and family for donations to your honeymoon.

I mean let's be honest, most of us live with our significant other halves for a while before getting married, so what's going to be more useful to you - a set of cheese knives? Another toaster? Or a cash donation to your honeymoon???

Asking for cash can seem a little dry though...which is where gift list alternative Patchwork Present comes in! We introduced them to you a little while ago - you can read all about what they do here.

Patchwork Present offer an alternative gift list that lets you show your wedding guests your dream honeymoon as a 'patchwork' of individual experiences so they can choose which part of your trip they want to treat you to - £100 for a night in a hotel, £50 for an elephant ride or even £5 for two beers on the beach. Independent of any travel agents, contributions from your friends go direct to your PayPal account for you to spend when and where you like. A brilliant way to invite guests to fund your honeymoon without the embarrassment of asking for cash!

So, how does it all work? You use patchworkpresent.com to design and fund your dream honeymoon. We get together with team Patchwork to choose our favourite. If you win, you get £500 cash from Patchwork Present to spend on your trip.

Right - so what do you need to do? Firstly - you need to sign up to Patchwork Present ( here) and subscribe to the RMW newsletter ( here). Then you need to create and publish your honeymoon patchwork. Once this is done, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line 'Rock My Honeymoon' and be sure to include the link to your patchwork URL. Then all you have to do is invite your wedding guests to contribute towards your honeymoon and cross your fingers! Oh and wait for a pretty RMW newsletter to land in your inbox each month!

You can see lots of lovely example honeymoon patchworks above. With Patchwork Present you can either customise an existing patchwork or start your own from scratch. You can upload your own images or use those from the Patchwork Present gallery. We will choose our winner on 31st October based on ideas, originality, style and story. * You need to use Patchwork Present as your gift list
* You must also sign up to the RMW Newsletter
* Your patchwork must collect a minimum of £1000 from friends and family.
* You can't already be registered on Patchwork Present
* The winner will be notified by email no later than 14 days after the closing date of the promotion on 31st October 2014.
* Patchwork Present will contribute towards the winning patchwork no later than 7 days after the winning patchwork has raised over £1000.
