Sweet New Jersey Farm Wedding: Janice + James

We really love Janice + James' sweet New Jersey farm wedding for so many reasons. And their perfect use of pastels is pretty high up on that list. Somehow they incorporated the most romantic shades into their celebration without it ever looking overly feminine or saccharine. From the pale-hued bridesmaids frocks which were just right, to the garden-inspired florals, chosen in blush and white shades, everything incorporated was a perfect fit for their natural, rustic surroundings. Bravo to J + J (and their awesome event designers Gilded Lily Events + MaryKateMoon)!

From Janice, I think we stayed true to what we both wanted. We both come from pretty traditional families and all of our siblings were previously married in churches and had their receptions at fancy banquet-hall-type places...so I think our parents expected something similar. I always said that if I did get married, I wish that I had a great-big house to have it at. We wanted that laid back, backyard party type of vibe and that is exactly what we got! Since we didn't have our own great, big house, when we stumbled upon The Waterwitch Club, we decided it was perfect. In the end, we stuck to our guns and loved how everything turned out.
