Granted it's been absolutely flipping boiling these last few days so what better then to cool you down than to immerse yourself in the snowy adventure that is Justin and Maddie's wedding.

That's right folks, this afternoon we're jetting off to colder climes to Chamonix in France no less to gawp at the wonderful details in this Winter do. The fashion for a start is pretty darn awesome with Justin looking every bit the dapper groom in his trilby hat and scarf and Maddie completing her glitzy Jenny Packham number with a full length cloak and off-white bouquet.

I'm also as smitten as a kitten with their skiing inspired paper pretty - from their 'lift passes' through to their customised guestbook.

Oh and we can never say no to a groom who swoops up his new wife in his arms for some impromptu romance. Utterly adorable.

Maddie The Bride:I had never dreamt about getting married or had any preconceived ideas of what it would ever look like so when Justin proposed on Christmas Day we had a blank canvas in front of us.

After Christmas we usually head out to the French Alps to soak up the Christmas atmosphere, enjoy snowboarding with friends and indulge in the local Savoyarde cheese and wine! That was when we decided to get married in the mountains loving the idea of having our friends and family with us to share our special day and then spending New Year together enjoying everything the Alps has on offer.

A few months later we were in Chamonix and fell in love with the Les Praz chapel and the Cabane. The Chapel was perfect, sat humbly at the bottom of the impressive Les Dru Mountains. As the chapel was de-commissioned, we planned a humanist ceremony that would be unique, personal and fun for everyone who had made that trip to share our special day.

My bridesmaids and I found long flowing dresses from Alfred Angelo in navy blue that looked stunning on all of my beautiful maids; the length and colour was perfect for the snowy cold conditions.

When I started looking at wedding gowns I quickly decided I wanted a Jenny Packham dress as I loved the elegance of her designs. When I tried on Muscari the crystals reminded me of the ice so I thought it would fit with our snowy backdrop. I teamed it with the JP accessories - the Acacia headband and bracelet to complete. My shoes were Benjamin Adams Keira, really simple with a few crystals on the toe. I couldn't decide to whether to wear a veil or not as my dress wasn't that of a traditional wedding dress so when Justin kissed me and my veil fell off I just went with it!

We went to Savile Row for Justin's suit where the Cad and the Dandy really looked after us and made it such an amazing experience, he bought his suit and shoes from there. Justin got all of the Groomsmen's coats and hats from All Saints. The boys wore navy suits to complement the bridesmaid dresses.

My friend Donna conducted the ceremony which made us all laugh and cry, supported by our amazingly talented friend Andy Quick who got everybody warmed up and singing All You Need is Love for my Dad and I to walk down the aisle. There was Justin waiting for me at the end and after spending the morning snowboarding through powder with his best friends was beaming like a cheshire cat!

Our friend Lucy read a poem from Walt Whitman, Song of the Open Road that reminded us of our shared love of travelling. Our friend Kim and Justin read Love is like a Dog, referring to our furry family who sadly couldn't be there. It was such an emotional ceremony, having the people you love come so far to share our day, I was laughing and crying at the same time for most of it.

Helen, our fantastic photographer had planned for there being little light after the ceremony but we had loads of time left and really enjoyed a fun shoot with her, with the snowy backdrop of Chamonix.

Then it was off to La Cabane which had all been carefully co-ordinated by Jody our wedding planner to the breakfast feast. After many courses of delicious French cuisine we toasted the night with Camel Valley bubbles from our home in Cornwall and cut our Wedding cake made from local cheeses from The Cheese Shop in Truro. It was a great reminder of our home and it's amazing produce.

Then it was over to the Pistey Boys and DJ Nubium who kept the dance floor filled until 4 am, a fantastic finish to a wonderful day with our loved ones in the mountains. Who'd have thought it really would be the best day of your life!
