This is one of those weddings that really sets my heart racing; gorgeous sunshine, a countryside setting and a laid back loved up couple.

Thomas and Nicole held their wedding at the glorious Huntstile Organic Farm in Somerset on the 17 ^th May 2014. They wanted their wedding to feel like one of their yearly summer BBQs with a really relaxed atmosphere.

They had an outdoor ceremony in a stone circle surrounded by their loved ones, tractor transport and a marquee filled with gorgeous dried flowers and wheat.

Nicole looked effortlessly beautiful in a Phase Eight wedding dress which she teamed with flat sandals and wavy hair, the boys wore blue and the bridesmaids looked pretty in neutral frocks. Wow.

THE PROPOSAL | Thomas proposed on my birthday at the St Pancras Champagne Bar after 8 years together we knew that marriage felt the right next step to take. I remember like it was this morning Thomas had the box upside down when he dropped to his knee to propose.

THE VISION | We wanted a laidback, outdoor feel for the day. We love BBQs when the suns out and drinking some cider when the suns out. This is kind of what we did on our wedding day.

We wanted people to feel like it was us throwing one of our yearly summer BBQs.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | Planning I have to admit was done by me (Nicole) and I done most through wedding blogs and pinterest became my new best friend.

BUDGET | We had a lot of help from parents with the budget so we was very lucky we knew we didn't want to spend loads and get in debt as nobody should start their newly married life being in debt, it's about 2 people who are madly in love getting married and that should be the main focus.

THE VENUE |The venue was Huntstile Organic Farm, Somerset. All the wedding food was made and grown on site. We then had the ceremony at stone circle which is a 10min drive from the farm up hill.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | My dress was from Phase eight. It was Louisa Ribbon Tapework. My shoes where actually flat sandals as I don't do heels. They were from Faith. I did not wear any jewellery or accessories.

FINDING THE DRESS | Finding the dress was actually a surprise.

I had no plan to buy a non-traditional wedding dress I thought I wanted big fancy thing but then a friend picked the Louisa out and I tried on and just fell in love it fitted like a glove didn't need any alterations which was a main concern as all them fittings you have to go to.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Thomas got his suit and the ushers from Moss Bros. It was a beautiful blue and they all had burgundy handkerchiefs.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | We had two readings one was read by Thomas brother James and the other by our friend Anisah.

The Beauty of Love

The question is asked: "Is there anything more beautiful in life than a young couple clasping hands and pure hearts in the path of marriage? Can there be anything more beautiful than young love?" And the answer is given: "Yes, there is a more beautiful thing."

"It is the spectacle of an old man and an old woman finishing their journey together on that path. Their hands are gnarled but still clasped; their faces are seamed but still radiant; their hearts are physically bowed and tired but still strong with love and devotion. Yes, there is a more beautiful thing than young love. Old love."

Music was played by our accordion player John Slayer.

He played La Vie en Rose as I walked down the aisle and played a lot of French music which was lovely as Thomas mother is French and his grandparents who came over from Paris really appreciated it.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | I had 3 bridesmaids my best friends and my amazing sister in law, 1 flower girl who is also my God Daughter and a brideman who is my other best friend.

The bridesmaids wore a greyish colour dress from Miss Selfridge, flower girl wore a beautiful Next dress in blue which matched the Groom and ushers. My brideman wore a navy Vivienne Westwood suit.

THE FLOWERS | All flowers where dried wheat or some sort of dried flower. It gave that relaxed feel.

THE CAKE | The cakes where made from our friend Bertie and Thomas mother Marie-Helene. The main cake was a chocolate, peanut butter with gold popcorn. We wanted a country cake sale feel to it. We also had Victoria sponge and Thomas Mothers famous carrot cake.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Our photographer was Kat. I knew from our first meeting she was perfect for capturing our magical day. She truly captured the story from the very beginning to the final dance. We felt so comfortable with Kat. A lot of the time it felt a photographer wasn't even there which is great as nobody felt pressured to pose all the time.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | We had to have the marquee last minute so I had to do last minute planning all I can is thank god for paper pom poms, cheap but look fab once up. I also hanged old lampshades up in the marquee. We had jam jars and vases which really worked with the dried flowers. Our wedding favours where mini strawberry jams. We used the company www.Jollygoodwedding.com and Nat truly worked wonders setting up the marquee and hanging all pictures of us, family and friends on mini pegs. I also did a DIY photo booth hanged a old gilt frame up and used a Fiji instant cam and put along with our guest book people had so much fun with it. There was a candy bar to which I did with Thomas' favourite sweets. I also made face masks of Thomas' face which was a surprise for him but was such good fun to use later on. Our ceremony was done at the stone circle and was conducted by Pamela who is a humanist celebrant and we chose our vows and Pamela made us feel so at ease was such good fun.

THE HONEYMOON | Unlike most people we booked our honeymoon for September so we have something else to look forward to. We are first flying to Hong Kong then onto Kota Kinabalu where we will visit the Orangutan sanctuary, we then finish off in Australia where we will be in Melbourne then Sydney. Truly is a dream honeymoon.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | One moment I won't forget was when we was during our vows and before Pamela our humanist lady had finished the paragraph Thomas shouted 'I do' everyone burst out laughing and of course Pamela said that's a good sign shows he's keen haha.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | The only advice for couples we would give is to enjoy every moment as the day will fly by. Also take a step back and truly appreciate being surrounded by all your friends and family it's such a blessing. And of course remember the day is about marrying your soul mate not worrying if the tablecloth matches the napkins.
