What football season is to men, award season is to women. Nothing inspires and rejuvenates our style sense like watching the who's who of Hollywood strut down the red carpet in the latest fashions. The gowns, the shoes, the jewelry and, of course, the hair. With a couple awards shows already in the bag, it's clear that this year will not fail to ignite our creative juices. One trend we are noticing already is the textured and slightly unkempt updo. We love this perfectly imperfect look and the chic edge it adds to any formal ensemble. Step 1. Tease hair at the crown using a teaser brush. Gently smooth out the top so it looks naturally fuller and voluminous (and no knots show).

Step 2. Pull hair into a low pony and secure with an elastic hair band.

Step 3. Twist the pony into a bun and secure with bobby pins. Loosen some pieces in the bun to give it a messier look - we aren't aiming for perfection on this one!

Step 4. Pull hair at the crown to loosen and create an "unkempt" style.
