We heart Cassidy Carson Photography and in fact our readers think so too as one of Cassidy's real weddings featured on Wedding Sparrow was our most popular Real Wedding of 2013! So we're super happy to welcome Cassidy and her talent back to the blog with this beautiful woodland wedding full of elegant details...

From Cassidy Carson: "So happy to be submitting a real wedding styled by 12th Table with floral design by Kelly Lenard! We loved working on Henry and Whitney's wedding together because they were an incredibly relaxed couple who wanted an intimate wedding at the groom's father's home in Franklin, Tn. This wedding affirmed that you don't need a lot of details to have a stunning celebration. The simplicity of the property combined with Kelly's amazing floral work and Henry and Whitney's love for one another turned a humble wedding into a magnificent occasion."

From the bride, Whittney: "Henry and I met canoeing the Harpeth River with mutual friends. Our friends had been trying to set us up for months. They said we would be "perfect for each other". Needless to say, they were correct. We hit it off immediately. We are both pretty laid back and love the outdoors. This could be part of what led to us having a small, intimate wedding outside, but I can't say that I had any sort of "plan" or purposeful theme to our wedding. All I knew is that I didn't want to stress out so much that I wasn't able to focus on what was REALLY important: the marriage."

"I picked out my dress first. Actually, my mother picked out my dress. I was loving a svelte Vera Wang gown when she asked me to try a gown that she had been eyeing since we walked in the store. I agreed to humor her and the staff was excited because they hadn't seen the dress on anyone. Well, my mind was quickly changed once I saw my dress on me. The cut, the fit and style were perfect for me and my mother was happy." "So, truth be told, once we got engaged in September, 2013, we would have been happy to get married the next day. However, Henry's seven year old daughter, Jane, was in Connecticut with her mother for most of the school year. It was really important to us to include her in the ceremony, so we chose the week of her Spring Break when she would be in Tennessee. It just so happens that I love the Spring, the weather, the flowers and Jane's Spring Break fell right in the middle of April. So, the date was set." "My dear friend Megan Proby, of 12th Table, gave me some direction with caterers and photographers and she knocked it out of the park! We only tried one caterer, Bacon and Caviar. They were awesome to work with and they food was phenomenal. I still have friends raving about the food at our wedding four months later. My husband chose Cassidy to take our pictures....mostly based on her use of film and her cool personality. Megan and I chatted once or twice about the flowers, rentals, etc. She had great ideas, was respectful of my budget and had a solid grasp of my simple, understated, natural style. Everything just fell together easily (in hindsight, of course)." "Our wedding day was beautiful. The weather was perfect and the trees were popping with blooms and new leaves. I was so happy I was finally getting to marry Henry. I remember thinking that I should be nervous, but I wasn't. I also wasn't concerned with how every little detail was going to look. I remember Megan and Kelly asking me how I wanted the flowers to look on the tables and my bouquet. My response, "I don't care, just make them look pretty!" They did. Somehow, I managed to have a beautiful wedding without too much fuss. Lesson: pick good vendors/artists and let them do what they do best. Neither Henry nor I would change anything about that day....besides, we ended up married and that was, after all, our goal!" Vendor details
