Ben & Estuné's Thaba Ya Batswana Wedding - Wedding Friends

Ben & Estuné's Thaba Ya Batswana Wedding - Wedding Friends

via

Today we are featuring a lovely wedding by D'amor Photography. The wedding of Ben & Estuné took place at Thaba Ya Batswana just outside of Johannesburg. The styling and décor was done by Otto de Jager Events who did wonders with the venue. It is interesting to see how such a dark and rather dramatic venue can be transformed into a light, white and snowy affair. Do not be afraid to give your venue a new look and feel!

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We first saw each other at church one Sunday in 2005 and then a friend introduced us to
each other. As they say: "It was true love at first sight!" After being overwhelmed with the
prettiest bunches of flowers, we started dating a month later.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The day played off perfectly. It was the best day of our lives! I almost cannot choose a
favourite moment. I think the most memorable part was walking into the church and
seeing each other, you feel so happy, sad, excited, in love and blessed all at the same time.
When I reached Ben, he took my hand and said: "I've got this!" It melted my heart!

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

It was our 9 year anniversary on 6 February 2014. We booked for the Jukebox Cruise
along with some friends but we flew to KZN a day earlier seeing that it was our
anniversary. When we landed, a taxi was waiting for us, took us to another airport and
Ben had a helicopter flight arranged for us. I was not at all suspicious seeing that Ben
himself is a helicopter pilot. When we landed on the mountain for a picnic, he came round
to open my door and then he went down on his knee and proposed. It was the most
magical proposal ever! I was in the clouds!

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

Our wedding day was a magical white winter fairy tail that played out in real life!

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Get the venue and all suppliers booked as soon as possible and get the attire sorted as
soon as possible. Never leave all the small things until the end because that is almost what
is most time consuming. And most importantly, enjoy every single moment because it
goes by extremely fast.
