Pretty pastel details, lively green succulents and some EXCELLENT Bridal accessories feature in this morning's wedding from Cripps Stone Barn in the Cotswolds.

Ellie and Harley are a super stylish couple with really great taste. I'd like Ellie's coral shoes AND her chandelier earrings please. And Harley looks dapper in a checked suit. Grooms, take note - this is a good look!

Ellie The Bride: I found the thought of choosing a wedding dress quite daunting. I went to a local dress shop with just my Mum and tried on so many dresses, I didn't feel comfortable in any and came away feeling confused and disappointed. I went online and looked at lots of dresses, being tall I decided fish tail or column style dress would be for me, I saw an Enzoani dress, looked at their collection online and found The Wedding Dress Shop as my nearest supplier. I was very luck to find them - they were amazingly helpful and the shop is beautifully laid out, not at all cluttered.

I knew I wanted a veil, as a friend said to me it's the only chance you get to wear one! I had a vintage lace that bolero I found on eBay. I wore this on my way to the ceremony. I decided I wanted bright coral shoes as a flash of colour under my dress, I wanted a low heel as I didn't want to be taller than Harley, and comfort was important to me. I found the perfect shoes, Liberty special edition for Clarks they were really comfortable all day and the first thing Harley noticed when I walked down the aisle.

From the start of the planning process for our wedding we both knew we wanted an informal feel to the day, Harley didn't want a traditional suit so opted for a checked summer suit from Reiss. The leather button on braces were my suggestion as I knew his jacket wouldn't stay on for long, I searched eBay for months and finally got lucky finding a pair.

Harley's Mum made all the bow ties and pocket squares, we struggled to find fabric in the right colour to match the bridesmaids dresses, in the end my Mum found a linen jacket in a charity shop, so it was cut up and made in to bow ties.

We were engaged for 2 years before we began thinking about looking at venues, we both knew we wanted to be married at a barn, but waned an venue with a bit of an original feel that would let us loose on decor. Harley stumbled across Stone Barn online, I think he was searching for wedding venues with BBQ's - another must have criteria for us. We went to visit Stone Barn and instantly fell in love with the venue. It is pretty yet rustic, we loved the mix of rough iron, wood and Cotswolds stone. The rape fields were in flower when we visited and so we decided spring was when we would get married.

Our colour scheme was mint and peach, I didn't want everything to be to matching and so went went with a real mix of tones and materials for the decorations. The decor was my department, I had an idea in my head I not sure Harley knew what I was up to with some of it but Harley loved it.

I designed our invitations myself, I wanted them to be individual to us so painted some flower illustrations and put the rest together in Photoshop and sent them away to be printed on watercolour paper.

The venue was amazing in itself, and didn't need much decorating, but we wanted to go all out and make country barn dance feel with a riot of colour. I decided as soon as we walked into Stone Barn We had to have bunting at the wedding. I fell for the idea of having scolloped bunting in our peach and mint colours scheme I cut and pressed meters of fabric into of circles and my Mum sewed them on to twine, we also made heart garlands out of paper which my mum stitched together on the sewing machine we draped these in the lower level above the dining table and around the banisters.

Harley cut slices of Silver Birch and I hand painted each as table numbers. I had seen succulent plants featured on Rock My Wedding, I fell in love with the idea of having them decorate our wedding, I grew dozens of little plants which my Dad potted up into mini cardboard pots, decorated with lace trim, these were favours and place names for our guests. Our little succulent plants also featured in in my bouquet and Harley's button hole. Our seating plan me and Harley made out of an old frame. We attached brown twine and hung tables numbers and guests names. I made the cake topper out of wire, ribbon and twine with little hanging bells. I illustrated our guest book.

We were only allowed to use flower petals as confetti so I had my Nan, Mum and Auntie collecting and drying out petals and we made confetti cones out of brown parcel paper. The biggest project was the wax paper back drop, as soon as I saw one online I knew I had to make our for our wedding, I had a lot of help from my bridesmaids cutting and stitching the paper cones. We had no idea where we were going to hang the back drop but we found the perfect place for it at the barn and it worked amazingly for the group pictures as all the rain on the day stopped us getting out side. All the guests loved it everyone was having there picture take against it.

We met with our florist Beth Cox, who came highly recommended from the staff at Stone Barn. Beth was so enthusiastic about my ideas, I was lucky that the flowers I had in mind were all in season at the time of our wedding. I asked to have peach ranunculus, garden roses and dusty miller as foliage and left the rest in Beth's capable hands. The bouquets were an amazing surprise on the morning of the wedding - more beautiful than I could have expected, I had so many compliments on them, and they smelt amazing. For the table flowers we had a riot of colour with wild flowers in old bottles, it was like having Spring inside, when I saw the tables all laid out I was taken back. It was just how I had imagined.

The ceremony was one of my favourite parts of the day, I think I actually arrived early I was so excited to walk down the aisle, and see Harley waiting for me, I actually think I walked too fast!

It poured with rain on the day of our wedding, it made getting in the car a bit stressful. My friend Steve picked me and my Dad up in Harley's old MK1 golf, I was so pleased to see a face I knew, he was dressed in full chauffeur get-up white gloves, all of which was so funny it took my mind off the rain. My dad walked me down the aisle to Canon in D. Once the big barn doors opened, all the light flooded out and it was such a magical atmosphere - I was so excited to see all the friendly faces of all our family and friends. My Sister-in-law did a beautiful reading for us "Love Is a temporary madness" from Captain Corelli's Mandolin, we walked out to You & Me by Penny and The Quarters - a song we both love, and we were bombarded with confetti.

I work as a food stylist and both being big foodies, the menu and quality of produce for our wedding was important to us both. We wanted good simple well cooked food, Harley always wanted a BBQ at our wedding and so Stone Barn boasting having one of the biggest in the country was a huge selling point. We served canapés after the ceremony - grilled chorizo and halloumi along with Prosecco. For the started we had smoked salmon from the local smokery with brown bread and soured cream, BBQ spatchcock chicken with roasted new potatoes and lots of salads or the main. The food was all served on platters for guests to share out which was great for getting everyone chatting and made the meal really relaxed and informal, just how we wanted.

For dessert we served churros with chocolate sauce, this went down a storm, I was walking around talking to guests as dessert was being served, everyone was drinking down the chocolate sauce, lots of guests commented how great the food was. In the evening we had hog roast rolls and wedding cake, our cake was made by a friend Lucy, and was lemon drizzle. I spotted a ruffled cake on Pinterest and as Lucy had offered to make our cake as a wedding gift I knew at she would be able to do something fantastic. Our cake was just amazing we were overwhelmed by how much work went into making it. I made elderflower marshmallows for guests to toast on the fire pits, which was fun once the rain had stopped.

Our Photographer was Michelle Lindsell. We looked online at lots of wedding photographers, we knew we wanted a casual look to our photos, all the unplanned moments captured, Michelle's pictures stood out from all other photographers we looked at, they have a beautiful vintage look to them, and when I spoke with her on the phone, she was really excited about our venue and all our ideas, so I knew she would do a good job for us.

Our wedding was a real home made affair, we had so much help along the way from friends and family which made the day so special and individual to us, my brother was a best man and was just an amazing support, pulling last minute bits together for us, you definitely need someone who you can turn to when you realise you've forgotten something important.

My advice would be plan for every eventually - we packed an umbrella and our welly boots and I'm so glad we did, you just have to embrace what ever the day throws at you and make it part of your wedding.
