Grab your childhood teddy bear for this surprise-filled, Korean-influenced, New York wedding

It's almost as if Jumi and Jimbo competed to see who could spring the most awesome, love-filled surprises on each other during their three-day wedding weekend last July. It started with Jumi flying both of Jimbo's sisters across the country using her own frequent flyer miles. (They wouldn't have been able to make it otherwise!.) Awwww - score for Jumi's first super-cool surprise!

On the wedding day itself, Jumi managed another surprise: she set both of their childhood teddy bears (Poopsie and Sam, if you'd like to know) at the welcome table. Guests were encouraged to take photos with the stuffed toys. Okay, that's just cute.

But during the ceremony, Jimbo had a surprise of his own in store. He held up a red umbrella, one they had used on their first date, as he said his vows. (I'm not crying. You're crying.) And it may or may not have been a surprise, but I have zero doubt that Jumi loved it when Jimbo sang her a special rendition of " I'd Go the Whole Wide World" during their reception.

The fun didn't end with the reception though! Day three of this multicultural wedfest included a paebaek ceremony. ( Photographer Petronella Lugemwa tells me that the paebaek is a Korean wedding custom traditionally held after the official ceremony.)

Okay, so that's a LOT to see in the photos below - but be sure to scroll to the very end. You've got to check out Jumi and Jimbo's super cute wedding video!
