Here's A Great Way To Tell If Your Date Is A Jerk

It's OK to put a little sexy into service.
Research has shown that young people are more likely to volunteer their time if their friends join in. But a new campaign launched on Friday's International Volunteer Day has taken that idea one step further by pushing volunteer dates.
Produced by ad agency DiMassimo Goldstein, the "Save the Dates" video above is encouraging romantic pairs to swap out dinners and flicks for homeless shelters and animal rescue centers to help boost declining volunteer rates.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national volunteer rate last year dropped slightly to 25.4 percent from 2012.
Participants can tag their loved ones on social media with the #VolunteerDate hashtag and can also find tweets and E-Cards crafted for the occasion on the Volunteer Dates website."There's no better way to quickly figure out whether your crush has potential than by asking him or her out on a volunteer date," Zac Sax, creative director at DiMassimo Goldstein, said in a press release. "Who would want to date the kind of jerk that says 'no' to helping at a soup kitchen or walking shelter dogs?"
