Top 5 Real Weddings of 2014

via

This post is my absolute favorite of the year because what's more fun than celebrating gorgeous real weddings?! These top 5 real weddings from 2014 run the gamut when it comes to style and theme, from playful fusion to woodsy simplicity. We hope you enjoy this unique collection, which is in no particular order (because it's hard enough to pick 5 weddings-it would be nearly impossible to rank them).

San Francisco City Hall Wedding by Your Dream Photo

An energetic fusion of Mexican and Chinese cultures, this vibrant wedding started at San Francisco City Hall (a truly stunning courthouse venue, btw) and then moved to an open, modern reception space. We love the bright flowers, family-style layout (above), and lighted signs greeting guests in Spanish and Chinese. Check out the rest of this wedding here.

Woodsy Paradise Wedding by Let's Frolic Together

This casual, fun wedding proves that you don't need a lot of formality or ostentatious details to have a memorable wedding. This sweet couple hosted guests in the middle of the forest, wowing them with tall trees and lawn games underneath the stars. Want to see the rest of this event? Go here.

Romantic Fairy Tale Wedding by Powers Photography Studios

This Portland, OR wedding featured a rustic take on the romance of fairy tales. One of the best details from this wedding was the moss bunnies as centerpieces. Moss tablescapes have been huge during 2014, but these little cuties certainly take the cake! There are so many great details to be found in this real wedding, from a naked chocolate cake with bright flowers to a fairy tale guest book. Check them all out here.

California Coastal Elopement by Viera Photographics

This simple wedding with a single-digit guest list was pure magic. With the Pacific Ocean surf crashing behind them, this bride and groom were wed in front of just their immediate family. The bride's halter dress with oversized bow at the neck was stunning-especially when paired with wellies for a walk on the beach. See more of this wedding here.

Northwest Treehouse Wedding by Hazelwood Photo

This treehouse resort wedding (yep, treehouse) is an entertaining blend of rustic and modern. Don't let the wildflowers and forest scenery fool you, this wedding had plenty of trendy details, such as karaoke and catering via food trucks. Find more photos of this wedding's charming details here.
