Considering an Asian honeymoon? Here are 10 magical cities to add to your list of possibilities!

Bangkok

Sitting on the coast of Thailand, Bangkok is known as a city rich in culture and amazing food. Like many other cities on the list, expect to find plenty of gorgeous temples such as Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha). You can also browse fragrant local flower markets, and take a boat ride through the canals. If you are feeling brave, visit the very memorable snake farm located near the center of the city. Lastly, for a bit of history stop by the Grand Palace.

Beijing

Home to the legendary Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, you won't lack for things to do and see while in Beijing, China. First, no trip to Beijing would be complete without taking a day trip to the Great Wall. Although it is a little over an hour outside the city, it is worth the extra travel time. Next, if it is a nice day, head to the Summer Palace for some impressive lakeside architecture. Buy tickets to an acrobatic show for a fun night out.

Tokyo

With countless museums and botanical garden oases within this bustling metropolis, Tokyo will certainly keep your itinerary packed! Now it's time for the guys to do what they want. Don't leave Tokyo without attending a sumo match.Want to take a break from enjoying all of the beauty and culture Tokyo has to offer? Marvel at the wonders of modern commercialism at Odaiba, a giant shopping and entertainment complex.

Bali

An island off the coast of Indonesia, you were probably introduced to Bali through the mega-popular Eat,Pray,Love. And it certainly doesn't disappoint in real life. Embrace the quiet simplicity of rural fields and stunning beaches. Take a romantic hike to Sekumpul Waterfalls, or visit the Tanah Lot Temple right (and we mean, right) on the coastline. History buffs won't want to miss the ruins of Gunung Kawi, from the 11th century.

Hong Kong

Situated on a harbor, Hong Kong is one of the world's most intriguing cities. Make sure to take a stroll at sunset along the brightly-lit Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade. Or escape the city and head to an unlikely place for a couple of newlyweds, the Chi Lin Nunnery. It's considered to be one of the most peaceful places in the city and a perfect place to take a couple of deep breaths and quiet moments. After that, totally be a cheesy tourist and travel to the Big Buddha. Your Instagram followers will thank you!

Kyoto

There's a reason why this city is famous for its shrines-it is absolutely brimming with them! Kyoto is home to so much authentically-preserved Japanese history and culture. If you only have time to visit one shrine, make sure it is the Fushimi Inari Shrine. It's really hilly, so wear good shoes and prepare to spend at least the entire afternoon. Otherwise, enjoy the surroundings around you. The photo above is taken at a bamboo forest and botanical garden site called Arashiyama, and it sits just on the outskirts of Kyoto.

Luang Prabang

Just a peek at Laos' Luang Prabang reveals a city with both traditional and colonial influences. Smaller than any other city on this list, most visitors to Luang Prabang visit to experience the outdoors. From majestic waterfalls and forests to a hike up Mount Phousi, this destination is perfect for couples who want a more laidback honeymoon. The alms giving ceremony is not to be missed-but make sure you conduct yourself correctly (there are instructions and suggestions at most local hotels).

Phuket

Located in Vietnam, this island is home to gorgeous beaches (such as the award-winning Freedom Beach), gardens, and plenty of historical and cultural sites. If you and your honey appreciate wildlife, take time out to see the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project. For more general tourist activities, make sure to pay a visit to Wat Chalong Temple, as well as Karon Temple Market to pick up a few souvenirs.

Siem Reap

This smaller city in North Cambodia is a popular travel destination because of its extensive collection of ruins and temples. And indeed, no trip here would be complete without a few key stops. First, Angkor Wat is pretty much a non-negotiable. This temple complex offers private tours, so make sure to take advantage of knowledgeable guides to learn as much as possible. Second, the Angkor Archaeological Park's (photo above) ruins date back to the 9th century. Third, Phnom Kulen National Park is a stunning example of the natural beauty here, but make sure to bring cash as there is an entrance fee.

Singapore

Although you often think of modern buildings with this Southeast Asian city-state, it actually has an unbelievable amount of garden and wildlife attractions, from the flowers of the National Orchid Garden to the vastness of the Southern Ridges park. There are two places which offer an unforgettable view of this city, Marina Bay Sands Skypark and the Singapore Flyer (an observation wheel). The Esplanade (shown at the left of this photo above) is a theatre complex that hosts performing arts events as well as several restaurants.
