Paige & Rev's Hartford Wedding - Wedding Friends

via

Hartford Hotel is an award winning hotel in the KZN Midlands, and when you see the venue you will know why. Well, Hartford recently hosted the wedding of Paige and Rev, a very attractive couple who's love seems almost tangible by looking at these images. Their day was photographed by the loving Laura Leigh Photography. We just love this post, especially the portraits with the horses. Let's hear what the couple has to say about their special day.

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We met one fateful Friday evening at drinks after work, introduced by mutual friends.
Drinks turned into dinner and dancing and we very quickly became inseparable.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

Rev stole me away on a surprise weekend away to one of his favourite places in the
world - the Outpost Lodge in the Kruger park. While on our evening game drive, we
stopped to have sundowners overlooking the breath-taking Lanner Gorge, where you can
see South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe all from the same vantage point. As the
sun dipped (and our guide discreetly snuck away) Rev went down on one knee and
proposed. And of course I said yes!

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

During our photo shoot we were determined to get some pictures of us with the beautiful
horses at Hartford. Climbing over a fence into one of the paddocks (hitching up a very
flouncy wedding dress and all) we initially scared the whole herd off. Then gradually, as
we held still, the horses inched forward until we were surrounded by 20 quizzy yearlings
nuzzling and nibbling at us. A truly magical experience that literally brought me to tears.

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

A beautiful, warm and emotional day filled with joy, family and friends, on whichMother Nature decided to show off in many exquisite ways.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Start planning early and surround yourself with recommended and trusted suppliers.
Soak in absolutely every moment and take time to step back and absorb everything.
Have a guest book at the event - it's wonderful to look back over all the messages once
the day is over.
