A Love Centered California Wedding - MODwedding

The soft blush colors and simplicity of this wedding really makes it so pretty to look at. You can read more from the bride below but she emphasizes that during the planning process, her and her fiance decided to focus on a few key elements but mainly center the wedding day around love. How beautiful is that? I think they did a really great job achieving that goal because you can simply feel the love when you look at these gorgeous photos captured by Koman Photography. This California wedding is easily one of the prettiest and most romantic weddings I've seen.

From the Bride, Stephanie:

It's no secret planning a wedding can be overwhelming and stressful. So for anyone who knows us personally, when it comes to companionship we gravitate toward romance. From the moment Bryan surprised me with a sunset proposal in front of our closest family members at the Portofino Hotel, we knew our wedding needed to be equally intimate and romantic. As we dove into wedding planning we vowed to focus on the core meaning of the day ahead, LOVE. Of the venues we scouted, the Redondo Beach Historic Library fit the bill. Filled with charm and history, it was the perfect marriage of elegance and minimalism. And of course, Redondo Beach is special to us - it's where we fell in love!

The color scheme we chose to go with was dusty rose, blush pink and ivory, which complemented the natural earthy tones surrounding the Library. We didn't want to overwhelm ourselves with wedding details so we selected a few major points to focus on: the wardrobe, the atmosphere and the entertainment. Stephanie's custom tailored Vera Wang gown embodied bridal. Hand sewn, the floral lace bodice was double wrapped by a dusty rose ribbon, which lead to layers of tulle that flowed into a cascading train. To complement the glamour of her gown, Bryan wore a custom made Brioni suit, light grey in color.

We decided against a first look, opting for our guests to share in the romance of a groom and bride seeing one another for the first time on their wedding day. And there wasn't a dry eye as Stephanie walked down the aisle accompanied by her mother and a Cathedral length Vera Wang Katherine Veil. Following an intimate ceremony officiated by the grooms father, guests were greeted to tunes from Frank Sinatra, Etta James and Ray Charles as they entered the Library. To keep the atmosphere romantic, we had centerpieces ranging in height with cascading greenery and blush pink tones surrounded by candles. For desserts we selected Cakes from SusieCakes that are made from scratch using the simplest of ingredients. And to highlight the night we hired Mirmir for an open air photobooth that projected a slideshow of photos from our wedding, keeping everyone participating as the night wore on. Together all of these elements created an exquisite evening of romance and happiness. Our wedding day is one that we'll cherish for the rest of our lives and the beautiful photos by John and Marlene captured every key moment.
