Whole Village Wedding Venues in Europe | Fly Away Bride

If you're considering a destination wedding in Europe, chances are you might like the sounds of an entire village that can be rented exclusively for your celebration. For a destination wedding, it's really ideal for guests to have their own space, yet be able to meet up in communal areas- especially if the celebrations take place over a weekend or longer. Having all your guests on site cuts out a certain amount of travel organisation to and from a venue. And of course, there's also the novelty of having an entire village to yourselves! Today we look at three amazing venues in three of the most popular wedding destinations in Europe: Spain, Italy and France.

This authentic ancient Andalucian town accommodates 45 guests in a selection of 2-5 bedroom houses. It also has a communal swimming pool, gardens, terraces and barbecue areas. The traditional whitewashed buildings have the perfect holiday feel set overlooking the bright blue reservoir of Lake Viñuela. We featured this venue last week and were hugely impressed, as were the couple who married there- the owner of Los Castillejos was indispensable to the wedding organisation, sourcing the flowers, cake and reception meal. You simply have to check out the views from this village!

Titignano Village is located on a hilltop in Umbria with panoramic views overlooking Lake Corbara and rolling hills filled with vineyards: Lindsay and I travelled here last year and can say first hand that the views are some of the most magnificent we've come across. The main street features a working church just a short space from the courtyard where outdoor receptions can be held, and there is also a huge indoor banqueting hall and a large medieval style dining room. Accommodation-wise, there are 6 apartments on site as well as 15 guest rooms. Well connected with both Rome and Perugia airports, Titignano is also very close to the wonderful cities of Orvieto and Todi. The decor inside the buildings is quite rustic, so this venue may be for those looking for a more authentic Italian experience. Authentic can be a good thing though- I have to say, the meal we had here was excellent. For more images of an actual wedding in Titignano, don't miss this celebration we featured. Amazing.

A fortified settlement dating from the 13th century, Castelnau des Fieumarcon is located far from the madding crowd in the beautiful Armagnac area of south-west France, yet is easily accessible from Bordeaux and Toulouse airports. The village can accommodate up to 80 people in 12 original restored houses. There is a vaulted hall which can cater for seated receptions of up to 150 and a large lawn terrace with expansive views which can also be used for meals or aperitifs. We love that this venue has been restored respectfully and with the environment in mind.
