It's Friday. Yippeee. Before you log out to enjoy the weekend resident real bride Jess is back. She is sharing her epic save the dates, super organisation skills and new year detoxing plans with us. Thanks Jess :-) XOXO Lou

Hello Lovely Bride's !

It is the last week of January and I have made it!... No caffeine, No Diet Coke No cheese (I ate over indulged and New Year and threw up), No chocolate, No booze.... No Fun! I received the nutri bullet on my Christmas wish list (gifted to by me!) I have become the detox bride to be with 4 months and 2 weeks to go, will this last? I'm not going to commit and say absolutely, because I don't even recognize myself... not a day would have gone by without at 3 cups of Yorkshire Tea's finest and now I can't believe what I am typing - I was relieved to find there is a de-caf version, so all is not lost!

So the wedding.... 2015 has come and it's real, this wedding is definitely happening! Save the dates went out and there is no turning back!

While we're on the subject of save the dates, here's what we did! I have got to say a big thankyou to the lovely lot at Screen on The Green in Angel, London. The 2 lovelies who got up a ladder in the pouring rain to change the letters and to our mate Gus for taking such a wicked snap! So it all came about from a recent project I did with the team at the cinema and thought why not ask the question... don't ask, what's the worst that can happen! It was definitely a pinch yourself moment walking away and seeing your name in lights.... PLUS your wedding date! A photo that will last for a lifetime!

It may be because it's January and I have more time to think about the wedding, not boozing and trying not to think about cheese! But the reality of the wedding has definitely settled in. It was a big help one Friday, feeling completely overwhelmed with everything going on and still to do, I powerpointed the wedding. Yes, every detail of the wedding got a page and I attempted to consolidate the overwhelming number of images on my pinterest page. I cannot say how helpful it is to make decisive decisions and refine how you want your day to look and feel. It's also a great opportunity to be realistic about your budget, what you can afford, what you can't live without and what you can take or leave, but remember nothing is impossible!

The Project Manager in me has definitely taken over and I have got to say that I love that we're working with such like-minded people. For the wedding we're going to be having tipi's for the main reception at a local village hall, Woohoo! Working with the fabulous lot at Sami's Tipis. Imagine my excitement pre- Christmas and the lovely Jodi is ringing to arrange a site visit in January, what a dream! 5 months before the wedding these are definitely the things you want to be doing to put your mind at ease!

So last weekend in the bitter cold winds we rounded up both sets of parents, the caterers (Lindsay and Alex from Puddini), lovely Alan from the village council who is hiring the hall to us and Craig and Jodi from Sami's Tipis. Driving to the venue with 10 people in a room waiting to discuss the big day, it could have been a disaster.... But I cannot recommend this enough!

It gave us an opportunity to discuss all the details for how the days will run leading up and logistics for the day - great opportunity to pick your suppliers brains on where you can source things! Both sets of parents loved being able to meet the main people involved and ask any questions that were worrying them... like ''what kind of weather can the tipis cope with?'' (My dad) he was relieved when Jodie showed him a film of the tipis in snow and wind and they were still going strong!

So there you go I am a detoxing Bridezilla, with a power point and a folder of all details planned so far.... I don't think I would have done it any other way.

Next post.... Honeymoons and clashing of the tartans!

Big love bride's! X
