We have a treat in store in celebration of St Patrick's Day today: an edgy yet beautiful take on a modern Irish wedding by White Cat Weddings. Shot on location at the beautiful Blackwater Castle in Cork, this session was loosely based on Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, making the 16th century castle the perfect location- its build dating as it does from around the same period as the Bard himself. The castle and its grounds were the ideal setting to mix modern with ancient styles: there's a lovely vintage feel to the decor and even a certain Mad-Hatter's tea party aspect to the outdoor setting. Bizarre visions and a lush yet rustic elegance were the ideas behind this modern Irish wedding inspiration, and we love the equal concentration on groom style, something we don't often get to see!
