Every now and then there is that one wedding where everything just falls in the right place and all the elements are naturally combined - a festive countryside location and a bridal look made to perfection from shoe to head piece - all wrapped up in a cheerful atmosphere. Yes, this is Mia and Ben's wedding and we are absolutely certain that, like us, you would all feel the fun vibe of that wonderful day with Mia's colorful design and the amounts of love exhibited by the guests.

Mia and Ben met when they were still in high school. At first, they were just friends, but over the years, they had bumped in to each other on numerous occasions until one night they went out with mutual friends and by the end of the evening they had already exchanged phone numbers.

On their first date Maya brought Ben a Krembo cake which is a common Israeli chocolate marshmallow fluff confection. We guess this is what sealed the deal for him, because they have been together ever since and after six years together decided to tie the knot.

There were two things the couple knew: They wanted their wedding to take place on a Friday afternoon and not via the rabbinate. They told us they love the magical atmosphere of Friday afternoon. Besides, most of their friends serve in the IDF so it was important for them to have them arrive fresh and comfortable.

They fell in love with the first venue they checked out - Hagiga Bakfar. The simplicity of the place, the food and the atmosphere really won the couple over. Mia is a design student and an avid trinket lover so it was important to her to have that incorporated in the wedding. At first Mia designed the wedding invitation, whose logo became the signature of the seating arrangements slips, table numbers, kids' surprise bags, chuppah ribbons and honey jars given to the guests before bidding them farewell. Mia said it was a fun way to keep busy.

Ben was responsible for one thing - decorating the car. He recruited his friends and together they adorned the car in an original, but simple way. Mia said she was super excited and surprised as this was beyond her expectations.

Mia's wedding gown was designed by Mira Zwillinger and she tells that aside from creating a magnificent dress for her, the studio's team was professional and made her feel beautiful. She bought her shoes at a Shoez Webstore stand at one of our blog's events. Mia decided to maintain a natural hair & makeup look which was created by hair stylist Sylvia Tobol and makeup artist Moran Stavizki who kept it simple, but glamorous.

Mia felt there was something missing in her appearance, but after a short while she found what she was looking for - a lovely Tami Bar Lev head piece. Mia showed Tami her dress and the planned hair and makeup and together they had chosen an item that would add and integrate with the overall look.

The walk down the aisle was sweet and unique. Mia and Ben both have beloved nephews and it was meaningful for them to integrate them in the wedding production. The kids walked down the aisle in front of Mia and Ben carrying signs with sentences they wrote themselves that reminded them of the couple. The ceremony itself was conducted by the couple with family and close friends.

There is no doubt; this was a unique and delightful wedding with amazing photos taken by Sharon Kahana that make up a touching souvenir.

Mia has an advice for brides to be: Yes, all the little details; the decorations, food and music are important, but at the end of the day the truly important thing is you enjoying a celebration of your love with beloved family and friends.
