It is not always easy being in love, sometimes it needs inspiration, sometimes it needs comforting. it is one thing to fall in love, It's another to feel someone else fall in love with you and to feel a responsibility towards that love.

We love this couple and we could not just to share photos from their engagement session with you, captured by iceimagery. (@iceimagery on IG)

Read their story below.....

Their love story... by Lolu(Groom) 'It had been a relatively boring day and all a young man who just defended his project could do was sleep. I got a call from my pal Nubi about a party at Ikeja GRA, "oh well, this should be fun" i thought to myself as i got into my bro's car and headed to Ikeja. When we arrived, there was a pretty lady in a pink top and blue jeans there to greet us in. We got in, had a few drinks, met a few people and two hours later was on my way home. I stopped by the lady in pink to thank her for inviting me and i picked the scent of her fragrance, "you smell nice" I said and she smiled back saying thanks. Little did i know she would one day be my wife, but let's not jump to the end yet. Some days later we met again in Unilag, we both came to check results and we got talking, realised she was interesting and friendly so i added her on Facebook (thanks Zuckerberg). Of course she accepted my request, who wouldn't? Once i posted a pic and there were a number of comments, including hers, so i replied and from there we took to chatting, which was really the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Sometime during the Christmas holidays i mentioned to her that I was bored, she invited me for what was she called a "pool party" but it was really just a few friends going to the chill in the pool. It ended up being fun mostly because we both didn't bring swimming kit and kept each other company, this was the day i realised i actually liked her, it was butterflies all night when i got home. We kept running into each other in Unilag thanks to certificate collection and nysc posting, and of course we got talking each time, the Facebook chat continued. Early February I was at Nubi's and she came to visit with her friend (yemisi). It was an interesting afternoon of cooking (and yes, it was the guys doing the cooking) and gisting. While i was dicing carrots we got into a discussion about the end times and the rapture, she said "so if rapture takes place now i won't kiss man", i dropped the knife, walked straight to her, gave her a kiss "now you can go to Heaven" and returned to dicing carrots. She just sat there perplexed and her friend had an expression of shock. Well, so would you of you knew me cos i had always been reserved and shy. If you're wondering what happened next, not much happened except that the rest of the day went as friends chilling and eating. Of course, the chatting increased and soon long phone calls became a norm. On Valentine's day, we went bowling with some friends and saw a movie, after which i drove her home. It was during that 3 hour drive through Lagos traffic that we had a conversation that probably laid the foundations of what would soon be a happy relationship. While i would spare you the details of the convo, it ended up with me indirectly asking her out. She did not exactly say yes, but didn't say no either. Soon after though the traffic gave way and my focus went back to the road. For some strange reason we never brought up the topic for a while. It wasn't until the afternoon of 26th March, 2011 during a phone call that she asked me a very simple question "so when are you going to ask me out?" I went silent for about two seconds, yeah she caught me off guard, what else was a brother to do while in such a hot seat. I popped the question and she seemed to have paused to think before saying yes. And that, my dear friends, is the story of Onome & Lolu which has blossomed for four good years, including a time she was away for over a year'.

And the photographer ( iceimagery) also had something to say about the shoot...
' when a couple are made for each other, the weather applauuds by inviting a calm sun to bear witness to heartwarming love. such ws the experience I had while carrying out a photo shoot with Lolu and Onome.
Every shot was a sweet romantic statement with the passion in Lolu's eyes drawing out and casting the shyness in onome's gaze. Both lovebirds shone like stars in eastern skies as my camera clicked away.
I was fufilled and so was my camera. The memory of this awesome experience would forever live in my jert s I would freeze it for genertions yet unborn to behold the breathtaking sights of love so pure.'
