Flower of the Month: Ranunculus
It's no surprise that we're flower obsessed here at GWS (which is one of the reasons why we're so excited to share our spring flower guide with you in, like, a week + a half!) To tie us all over until that happens, we are beyond thrilled to share today's feature, and a new monthly GWS column, highlighting a flower each month that you can incorporate into your wedding, next party or around your home. ( Or you can follow along simply to discover + learn more about some ultra pretty blooms!)
Janie from The Bride's Cafe + photographer, Serena of Love By Serena, will be teaming up to produce + share these features with us each month. First up is a personal fave of ours, the ranunculus, and a flower that makes us think 'spring' every time we see it!
Janie tells us more about this crazy-pretty flower, One of my very favorite spring flowers are ranunculus. They come in a variety of beautiful colors and I love incorporating them in my floral designs. I'm always amazed at the varieties....from the dark plums which look like velvet to the pretty shades of pinks. I thought it would be fun to design two totally different floral arrangements....one look incorporating the light shades of the ranunculus and a "moodier" look using the darker color palettes.
Get the Look: The pretty arrangement above includes tulips, mini carnations, seeded eucalyptus in addition to ranunculus.
Get the Look: This moodier arrangement includes anemones, peonies, lisianthus, greenery, seeded eucalyptus in addition to ranunculus.
So pretty, right?! Next month, the flower of the month will be tulips - and we just can't wait to see what these two come up with!
