Taking a sharp departure from last season's wintry theme, Theia designer Don O'Neill's latest bridal line drew inspiration from Kay Nielsen's Victorian Art Nouveau illustrations for Hans Christian Anderson's popular fairy tales. Unveiled against a backdrop of floral garlands, quintessential spring elements were prevalent throughout collection, giving brides-to-be an assortment of timeless yet fresh and whimsical looks that are tailor-made for spring nuptials.

Intricate beading, sequins and pearl embellishments in luminescent hues of silver and white gave gowns a vintage appeal while staying perfectly in tune with the collection's fairytale aesthetic. Though the collection dabbled with Victorian era inspiration, contemporary designs and silhouettes, such as flowing A-lines and curve-hugging fits, were also abundant in equal measure. Playing with more dynamic elements, the collection showcased a striking 3D-printed corset laden with intricate butterfly details, while another equally gorgeous design featured this stunning motif with colourful texturized butterfly appliques. Fabrics and textures were diverse and highlighted the designer's elaborate craftsmanship with painted silk chiffon, intricate embroidery and laser-etched satin. O'Neill's use of lace also imbued his designs with an ethereal touch and featured prominently on a bohemian-style long sleeve gown and a floral embroidered lace cape, draped delicately over a white sheath gown. In true Theia fashion, O'Neill also included crop top designs, sleek pants and high collar necks, giving the collection a fresh modern feel.
