Jacqueline and Mike were initially matched up by Mike's brother, Colin, who decided to play cupid at a celebration in Plenty, Saskatchewan. "Colin found out I was single and immediately started talking Mike up and telling me what a great catch he would be for me," Jacqueline explains. "Next thing I know he tells me to 'wait right there', because he was going to go get Mike. I bolted in the other direction towards the dance floor." Fortunately for Jacqueline, there was no escaping fate. "Out of the corner of my eye came this handsome teddy bear making his way to the dance floor to ask me for a dance," she remembers. "We magically caught each other's eyes and have been dancing together ever since."

The couple's fall wedding was equally as magical as their first encounter. The pair held their wedding ceremony outdoors at Cypress Hills Provincial Park then hosted a reception at nearby Cypress Hills Resort.

Jacqueline and Mike used leafy garlands, chalkboard accents and dazzling blue and purple flowers to bring a woodsy atmosphere into their reception space.

Both Jacqueline and Mike agree that one of the highlights of the night was their first dance as husband and wife. "Our first dance song was 'Making Memories of Us' by Keith Urban," says Jacqueline. "This song perfectly explained the vows that we promised to each other."
