Fiesta Wedding Invitations

If there has been one thing we've learned this summer (okay, other than that weather can be crazy), it's the awesomeness of fiesta weddings. They are exhilarating and fun and bright-the perfect way to celebrate a new life together. We've already talked about some of the lively details you can incorporate into your fiesta event, but now we've rounded up some of our favorite fiesta-inspired invitations!

If you've been researching fiesta weddings for your own wedding inspiration, chances are you are already in love with papel picado. These tissue paper flags seem to be featured on everything lately because of the whimsical way they can add color and vibrancy to your decor. Above, pair sherbet brights with cherry red for a very festive color palette. Below, this personalized papel picado flag was featured throughout this couple's fiesta invitation suite.

Most of the time you will see fiesta wedding invites in bold, bright, summery shades. But that doesn't mean your fiesta wedding has to have that color scheme. We love this faux-needlework design in deep red and spring green on a chocolate brown background (below). It would be a fun way to invite your guests to a fall fiesta wedding, or one done in all-white.

For couples that want to keep their fiesta wedding modern and fresh, look for ways to merge today's trends with Mexican wedding traditions. Below, this cactus incite in bright pink celebrates the Southwest but does it with fantastic, contemporary typography.

Having a fiesta wedding that might run a bit more rustic-chic? Combine chalkboard style with fiesta design with an illustrated invite like the one below.

Is your fiesta wedding actually in Mexico? We think this neon ombre wedding invitation would be absolutely impossible to decline.

You can also mix and match patterns in subtle, clever ways. This papel picado and sugar skull invitation suite features polka dot-lined envelopes and chevron-backed paper.

For your save-the-date, make sure that your wedding is your friends' top priority with this colorful magnet with faux cutout lettering.

Already chosen your theme but love a good fiesta? Use this theme for a bridal shower, or just an excuse to throw a party on a random Saturday this summer.

On your wedding day, we also found a few additional paper goods to add to your reception (because, seriously, this obsession knows no bounds). Above, papel picado table numbers? Yes, please!

A lighthearted theme like fiesta or Cinco de Mayo should also have a good sense of humor. Whether with little puns on your buffet signage or hot sauce escort cards (below, right), these funny moments will make your wedding!

Tissue paper fringe is hard to include on your actual invitations because of smushage (technical postal term). Instead, use them on your placecards (above, left) or to create your own mini-pinatas to use as favors, place cards, or in your centerpieces!
