See why this rainbow wedding was a subtle finger to local gov

Stephanie and Alan opted for a low-key ceremony and Sunday brunch for their Indiana wedding last May. I love that the simplicity of the wedding lets that awesome paper-crane, rainbow backdrop REALLY stand out! You may recall how the controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act went down in Indiana around that time - Stephanie made the rainbow wedding backdrop as a sort of subtle middle-finger to the state government. They were married on the steps of the Indiana Historic Society, but their ceremony somewhat faced the Statehouse.

They kept their ceremony on the short side - Stephanie mentioned it was just under four minutes long. After that, they had red velvet cake for her, strawberry cupcakes for him, and mimosas and Bloody Marys for all.
