Geometric Wedding Cakes

Geometric Wedding Cakes

Modern brides, go and get yourselves a cup of coffee and then come back here to enjoy some serious cake inspiration. These geometric wedding cakes are a fun way to incorporate shapes and patterns into your decor design. Above, we love the geometric heart layer in this cake above. It kinda looks like a sugary version of tangrams (which would have made that game so much better, btw).

If you also want to include a little sparkle (and why wouldn't you?), match a pink, gold, and black layer on your cake to your graphic cake topper.

These cubes and diamonds seem to come straight out of the cake with these three-dimensional designs (below).

Your baker can also change the appearance of the shape of your cake by adding extra structure with thick shapes, like these hexagons below.

If you don't want anything quite so complicated, simply have your cake designer add a few fondant shapes to an otherwise classic buttercream confection (below). If you want to soften the look, use a topper like a muted rose or peony in full bloom.

Watercolor cakes are some of our favorite designs, so we love this painted diamond pattern that matched this geometric wedding's table runner and paper goods. In a combination of pinks and cobalt blues, it's bold without being overpowering.

This orange and pink sweet table (above) is dominated by sharp lines and creative shapes, including three dimensional flowers and leaves made from fondant diamonds and triangles.

Serving cupcakes? You can create these geometric cupcake or cookie toppers fairly easily, and can dye the fondant to match your wedding colors.

We think these bright geometric cookies would make a tasty take home favor from your geometric-themed bash.
