Spring Wedding Inspiration with Rich Fall Hues

Spring Wedding Inspiration with Rich Fall Hues

via

So might still be summer where you are (certainly not in London today!), but when we saw today's wedding inspiration shoot, it got us excited for autumn (though we're not quite ready to part with our sandals and sunnies just yet!).

The rich berry hues, the late summer fruits, opulent gold touches, and hints of this year's 'it' colour, Marsala, it had us dreaming of fall weddings and all their array of tones and textures.

But then we found out that it was actually inspired by spring.

And we just love the idea of shaking up the seasons and giving spring couples more to play around with than the standard soft palette.

Photographed by Alyssa Turner Photography, styled and coordinated by Silver Lining Events + Co. and featuring the talents of a host of wedding vendors in Dallas and beyond, this shoot is positively brimming with beautiful ideas (whether you're opting for a bold spring wedding or a classic fall one!)

We'll pass you over to the lovely Elisabeth of Silver Lining Events + Co. to tell us a bit more about it...

From the Stylist

When creating the initial concept for a styled shoot, I always like to ask myself "Can a client recreate this for their own event?". Not only do I want to create a concept that is inspiring, but that is relatable as well. This shoot was no different. We went with the veryrich tones of marsala, fuchsia, raspberry and Grape. Our undertones were blush and gold, naturally. Marsala and berry tones are always, predictably, seen in the fall. I wanted to show clients how the can have a rich, beautifully bold spring wedding with these colors. Real brides love these colors but are afraid to use them. By highlighting the berry colored dresses, using hints of marsala and grape throughout the table, it shows them that bold is possible for spring.

The Invitations

For stationary, I had the unique idea that a very sentimental bride, that maybe invited 50-75 guests to an intimate affair, would want to personally reach out to each guest with a love note. Thus, the "Love Note" escort card was born. On the front of the envelope was their full name and table number, and on the inside was a sweet note from the bride and groom. "We are so happy you are here to share in the fun of today. Enjoy yourself this evening! See you on the dance floor!"

The Dresses

Jenna Thomas Beauty created her makeup look, complete with copper eyes, a soft cheek, and a berry lip.It is a stunning look, that complemented the entire shoot. I love how deep the color is and it looks amazing against their bouquets.

The Flowers

The Refreshments

I wanted to show clients that they, in fact, can incorporate personal touches into their food and beverage options. Not just through "signature drinks". For the loose leaf tea bar, We showcased the simple way to serve this at your wedding reception, bridal shower, or cocktail hour.

The DIY Details

I will always incorporate a punch of "unique" into the tablescape. This time: hand made marbleized napkins. I have seen hints of marble pop up in design and interior blogs. I had to try it out! Five hours later, I had ten napkins, marbleized in the colors of our shoot. You will see them popping out from under the salad plates. Just enough to know they're there and a perfect combination to the delicate china.

The Calligraphy

It is the perfect depiction of a spring marsala wedding. I love how she used gold calligraphy to make it modern, yet a traditional format to keep it classic.

The Linens

The table linen was from BBJ Linen, in their new Rhythm collection. All other linens were from M & M Special Event Rentals, along with the dinner table and chiavari chairs.

The Cake

We styled the stools for the cake, by Cake Walk Bakeshop, and I love the very unique design that it turned into.

That cake is so pretty, I love the tablescaping too, and I really wouldn't mind a sip of that Berry Champagne (even if it is only 9am!)

Thanks so much Alyssa Turner Photography, Silver Lining Events + Co. and the rest of their team for sharing this inspired shoot with us.
