MATERIALS: DIY Easy DIY Beach Wedding Escort Cards

Instructions:

  1. Set plastic sea creatures on newspaper and spray with metallic gold spray paint. Spray the top and sides, allow to dry and then flip over to spray the bottom. It's best to do this outside, in a well ventilated area. (Make sure you read and follow the usage and safety instructions on the can of paint that you have purchased.)
  2. Create your escort cards by ruling soft pencil lines to divide a pretty piece or paper or cardstock into equal rectangular strips. Add a guest's name and table number into each strip to create a little tag. You could also do this on your computer and print.Cut out each tag and use a punch to create a hole through which you'll thread you bakers twine or ribbon.
  3. Affix the escort cards to your pretty gold sea creatures with twine.
  4. Display in a large, flat basket or shallow wooden box filled with sea sand, and you're done. If you're setting these up in a display area of their own, try adding a few candles to vintage glass bottles filled with sand or lots of pretty sand filled tumblers with votives for a romantic, intimate ambiance.
