From photographer Ashley Bosnick: "The wind blows softly through the trees and the mountain light touches every branch in the gentlest way. The sun begins to set and there is something so peaceful in the golden hue that extends across the land. It is as if the sun could never possibly set across every ridge.
We wanted the color palette for this shoot to reflect the natural light and beauty that surrounded us in the Appalachian Mountains. You can almost feel the soft golden tones from the sunlit pressed flowers and the warmth of the gray stone and stationary. The dusty rose from the florals and linens washes over you and creates a feeling of calm. The evening light dances across the mountain ridge and creates an opening to the heavens. We were not only inspired by the color and feeling of the mountain light, but also the movement it creates in its final flickerings. That winding light can be seen through the organic calligraphy that trails down the page, the pressed flowers that flow across the cake, and the chiffon gown that gracefully touches every bend across the young brides back. The Appalachian Mountains provided the ideal setting for this shoot. They are lush and full of life. Appalachia is abundant in its beauty with some of the most stunning views, deep valleys, and flowing rivers. Much of the mountains are still wild and untouched. They provide a quiet haven where serenity can be reached no matter the season."
