Chip and Elle's inspiration for their wedding was Vaudeville meets a 1920s circus sideshow. They wanted their "weird sense of style and the idea that we can do whatever we want" to come through in everything they did. The wedding took place at The Loft in Long Beach on Friday 13th of June during a full moon.

"Our wedding had a circus theme but we wanted EVERYTHING to be different to a normal wedding", the bride explained. "Our ceremony was funny and referenced the circus. All the décor was DIY from the favours to the circus cut outs, and the centrepieces to the stationery. We had a magician as entertainment which one one of my favourite things of the whole day!"

"There is nothing we'd change about our wedding", she concluded. "I was really nervous at first about people in my family not getting along. However we made this a non-issue by not having a seated, formal meal. Everyone was encouraged to mingle and and nobody sat for food, that meant they didn't have to sit with people they didn't get along with!"
