Dreamy Chocolate & Coffee Inspired Wedding in Lithuania -...

Food lovers, be prepared to be indulged in decadent chocolate and coffee, for that was the theme Roberta and Nerijus settled on for their wedding held in Lithuania.

There were the most dreamy portraits, a stunning Cathedral ceremony and pops of burgundy in the white colour scheme. I adore Roberta's sheer dress, it utterly looked divine. While Nerijus donned a dapper grey suit with bow tie. I loved learning all about the Lithuanian wedding traditions in Roberta's wedding report too, not to mention that hot chocolate bar. YUM.

Thanks so much to Jurgita Lukos Photography for sharing these beautiful images with us today.

FROM THE BRIDE | We've known each other since high school, but we noticed each other only four years ago and started dating. On our first date, we decide to take a ride with bikes. We love to do everything together: long walks, watch movies, ride bikes and very interested in history. We go together very well, and still get butterflies in our stomach when we are together. I'm romantic, and as every woman, love to be photographed, Nerijus not so much.

Wedding for us is a cosy love sacrament celebration, with the dearest and closest family members and friends. Nerijus favourite drink - hot chocolate. That dictated our wedding theme - chocolate and coffee. Brown, burgundy and white colours dominated in our wedding. Our wedding decorator Roberta did an outstanding job and brought our vision to live. Everything looked amazing, the flowers, table décor, the linens, every little detail was a very well thought and placed in right place. We cannot thank her enough.

Our wedding was in May, we hoped for a warm and sunny day, but we got an opposite. It was windy rainy and unusually cold day in May. Our wedding ceremony was in Cathedral of St. Anthony of Padua in Telsiai, Lithuania. This cathedral reflects features of Baroque and Classicism and is the only church in Lithuania which has a two-storey altar. After the ceremony, with all the guests we went to Mastis lake, for the glass of champagne and some snacks. After greetings and toast, we went for the photo shoot in the city in the meantime guest were welcomed in the restaurant, where they could enjoy hot chocolate, nuts and take photos next to the photo wall. After we returned from the photo shoot, we were greeted by our parents with rye bread, salt and water. The bread represents the symbolic hope that they will never go hungry; the salt reminds them that their joint life will have its difficulties and the water represents the parents' wishes for health and happiness for the couple. Our lovely host Edita prepared the evening program with many activities. After a meal, toast and dances our parents gave us a family fireplace - a candle placed inside a small ceramic fireplace. It's very long Lithuanian tradition. In this way, the young family are reminded of their duty to take care of each other and of their home. The evening and the wedding day was everything that we dreamed of. Thank you to all who was part of it, who made it happen. Thank you.
