If you were Refinery29 Fashion Director Paula Goldstein, you would've packed light for what really ought to be called Fashion Month.

"I don't really bring any dresses at all, because I get loads of those loaned to me," Goldstein told me over a girls' burger lunch at Café Charlot in Paris. When you've got a killer look, a cool attitude and nearly 10 years of fashion industry cred, including stops at Purple and Dazed magazines, everyone wants to outfit you in their collections-and put you in their front row and have you at their after party.

But if you were this Brit-born, New York-based icon in the making, you wouldn't seem at all affected by that.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

You'd have that woke-up-like-this low-key style vibe on lock, and you'd drop only boldface names when boldface questions are asked. You'd be crazy easy to hang out with, and you'd make Fashion Week seem like summer camp. And these would be your favorite shows:

"Of course Givenchy was amazing, and Opening Ceremony had this very low-key, awkward feeling that was really refreshing. I never read program notes, which is terrible I know, but after the third model fell, [Refinery29 editor] Annie nudged me to take a look at them and I realized it was all brilliantly choreographed."

"London is a fashion city run by magazines instead of a fashion city run by brands. The industry is more like a family there. With the exception of Burberry, there are no megabrands, so everything is just more independent feeling-including the shows."

"Jonathan Saunders is a friend of mine and he showed his best collection yet-and the best part is that he knew it. You could just see it on his face. Simone Rocha and J.W.ANDERSON were both amazing, of course, and Mary Katrantzou as well. Her show was all about the fashion family; all her girlfriends were seated front row. And Henry Holland's show was just hilarious and awesome."

"Gucci, far and away-but going back for the re-sees was even better. There were all these amazing things that you couldn't take in on the runway. It was just pure magic and joy. And Prada is always great."

"Dior by far. It was all so beautiful and delicate. I am a huge fan always, but in the past with some collections, I've not been sure how wearable some of it would be. This time every look was just so beautiful and they were really pieces you could wear."

"And Miu Miu as well; they always just flip the whole season on its head, and everything you've seen prior doesn't even matter anymore."
