Romantic Bohemian Colorado Wedding: Amy + Will

Romantic Bohemian Colorado Wedding: Amy + Will

via

If you love flowers + sweet, pastel hues, today's Colorado farm wedding, captured by Laura Murray Photography will win you over big time! Amy + Will wanted their wedding to be a laid-back and fun experience for their friends and family...and they wanted it to reflect their affinity towards all things bohemian, whimsical + romantic. They worked with the talented Jessica from A Vintage Affair to bring their aesthetic + ideas to life and chose a beautiful (and enviable) pastel color palette of peaches, pinks, creams, dusty blues, and sage greens that we know you're going to love!

Probably the most stand-out detail is the floral design by Bare Root Flora. Dreamy blooms were practically dripping from every vignette, and even Amy was decked out in posies! We love her wild + gorgeous bouquet and that she paired her lovely lace Yolan Cris dress with a peach + ivory flower crown.

Amy's romantic bouquet featured garden roses, astilbe, dusty miller, peonies and eucalyptus.

What a beautiful setting for a beautiful bride! Amy tells us, We both work long hours and have very hectic schedules in NYC, so we wanted our Colorado wedding to be in an open, relaxed and beautiful setting. The moment we visited Crooked Willow Farms we knew it would be the perfect backdrop for us. Once we had decided on the venue, I was really inspired by combining the rustic barn setting with fun boho and vintage touches.

The downpour in the middle of our ceremony LOL. It rained off and on all afternoon and we started feeling light raindrops as we were lined up to start the ceremony. I'll never forget walking down the aisle with my mom and seeing our guests holding all these white umbrellas (which my husband was smart enough to buy 2 days before the wedding!). We made it through about 10 minutes of the ceremony before it started to really rain - enough that we had to stop the ceremony and huddle under the arch while the bridal party held up umbrellas for us and got completely soaked themselves. We decided to let the storm pass and the rain finally subsided after a few minutes so we were able to continue on with the ceremony. I had been so worried about it raining but it actually turned into such a beautiful, unforgettable moment. I was so happy that all of our family and friends were so accommodating and waited it out with us. And as the ceremony came to a close the sun came out and the rest of the evening was gorgeous!

Jessica from A Vintage Affair says, The table numbers were hand drawn flowers, inspired by the actual flowers used at the wedding, painted by the remarkable Lana's Shop. So detailed and realistic were the illustrations they created the perfect accent to the tables and the flowers themselves. The tables were also decorated with macaroon favors placed on vintage mismatched plates.

Aren't these pink cakes by Intricate Icings the sweetest?!

Most of our vendors ended up knowing each other - which actually made things run really smoothly. This is something I never would have thought about when starting the planning process but it worked out really well for us.

Also, make sure to involve your groom in the planning process. We went to a number of vendor meetings where people were surprised that my fiancé had come with me. I love that he was so involved because it made the day even more special knowing that we'd planned together.
