A Cape Town Inspired Styled Shoot - Wedding Friends

Photogapher Adrian Shields wanted to explore the city of Cape Town when he planned his next styled shoot. He realized that Cape Town has so much to offer, more than just the commercial tourist attractions. He gathered a team of experts and together they shot at three stunning locations in and around the city. The dresses were made by Janita Toerien, Flowers by Paramithi and Make up was done by LA Makeup Artistry.

I love Cape Town, the locations, the contrasts and the diversity. So selecting three locations for me was easy. I though about what travelers talk about and where they love to go besides the obvious choices of Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront. Hence the selection of Long St, Die Bo-Kaap and Cosy Bay.

Die Bo- Kaap for it's colour, heritage and cultural diversity. Cobbled streets, painted walls and smiles and frowns on the local residents faces.

The Cities infamous Long Street, not only a Monopoly Street Name but really the life of Cape Town's City itself. Backpackers, fashion photographers, tourists alike... all love the vibe of Long Street.

Cosy Bay on below the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range, a hidden little gem with shapely boulders and views back to Lion's Head, Camps Bay and the mountains surrounding it. I also wanted to get Keryn into the water, in a dress Janita Toerien was more than happy to let us get wet, and this Keryn did with a big smile on her bright and pretty face.
