Camden Winery Wedding - Polka Dot Bride

Camden Winery Wedding - Polka Dot Bride

When Kira and Damien set out to plan their Camden winery wedding, they wanted a day that had a rustic, vintage style to it with plenty of Australian native flowers. What they got, of course, was so much more - because as the golden sun set, their story became the beautiful focus of the day. All captured by photographer Rachel Webb Photography.

The bride chose a gown by Brides Desire by Wendy Sullivan from Jean Fox remembering, "My first and only bridal store I went to was Jean Fox at Parramatta. I had tried on this beautiful Brides Desire by Wendy Sullivan dress and my mind was set on it, but I had made an appointment to go back to be 100% sure. I went back during a sale where I also met the designer's son, Jack Sullivan. Jack was showcasing a new collection of Wendy's dresses and that's where I saw 'the dress'. Unfortunately they didn't have my size so I went with my instinct and ordered it. 6 months later the dress came in and I fell in love with it. It was champagne on ivory with lace and floral embellishments."

Macarthur Floral Creations created the floral arrangements for the day.

Kira and Damien chose Gledswood Homestead & Winery for their wedding, noting, "We only looked at one venue and that was Gledswood Homestead & Winery. It was everything we wanted and we loved how everything was in one place."

Kira notes, "We wanted to have a 'unplugged ceremony'. We wanted our family and close friends to be present with us at our ceremony instead of hiding behind their phones or their ipads."

For the processional, Kira remembers, "We chose the instrumental version of 'Sleeping At Last' by Turning Page. I think this song is absolutely beautiful and the instrumental version is even more beautiful. We found this song to go really well with our garden ceremony."

"We wanted to include the people that couldn't make it to our wedding. We had a remembrance candle for those we had lost over the years and we also set up a table at our reception with photos of our parents and grandparents on their wedding days."

Of their photographer, Kira remembers, "We met our photographer Rachel 15 months before our wedding. We thought her style was exactly what we wanted for our wedding photos. We found Rachel easy to get along with everyone on the day of the wedding and our photos turned out amazing."

The bride and groom chose Beneath The Blooms to style their day. Kira tells, "We wanted a rustic, vintage themed wedding with a lot of native flowers for the ceremony and reception."

For the first dance, Kira tells, "We chose a cover song, sung by Jason Evigan called Cinema."

Congratulations Kira and Damien! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Rachel Webb Photography for sharing today's wedding with us!
