Emma and James Blissful Picnic Engagement Shoot

Morning good people!

Ahh if you're looking for something to brighten your Tuesday, boy have we got the engagement shoot for you. Emma and James are the cutest. Their vintage picnic theme, the pumpkins, Emma's sweet flower crown and just the look in their lovebird eyes is sheer perfection.

With photography that is just pure sunshine, Hannah K Photography captured Emma and James' divine love and utter bliss beautifully.

Let's have a chat to the newly-engaged (and totally lovely!) Emma...

Our parents are friends, so we've always known each other. We even have a photo of us both together when we were babies!

We went bowling and then for pizza. Even though we already knew each other, we were both nervous so it actually ended up being a really awkward date!

James proposed. He cooked me my favourite dinner that we ate in a cabin in his parents garden, which he had decorated with photos of us, rose petals and 400 candles!! And then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

It was perfect!

Yeah sure! We are getting married in a church, just around the corner from where I live. We both go there regularly, so it's really special for us both to be getting married there.

Our reception is in a beautiful hall that looks like a barn on the inside. There will be pretty pastel colours of mint and pink, a lot of bunting, flower crowns, rustic details and plenty of homemade DIY little touches!

And then we'll finish the day with a fun ceilidh!!

Our engagement shoot was on James's parents family farm. We chose to do a vintage picnic theme, as going on picnics is one of our favourite things to do! Choosing a good photographer for our wedding and engagement shoot was really important for us. After looking at a lot of different photographers and still not being sure, Hannah was recommended to be by someone at my uni.

When I saw her website, I loved her photos and instantly decided that I wanted her as our photographer!

Hannah was great, we had so much fun doing the shoot! She was really open to our ideas, and also had great ideas too, using the farm sheds and pumpkin patch as backdrops and capturing a beautiful sunset shot.

We love the photos she took and have so many favourites!

We would love to go to Christian festivals like Newday or Soul Survivor and hear some of our favourite bands like Rend Collective.
