Every December, our friends at Dart DJ team up with some of the industry's finest creatives to throw an epic end-of-year soirée for the hard-working members of the wedding industry. Hosted at HNYPT in downtown Los Angeles this year, GATHER Events planned + designed a moody, New Orleans-inspired bash that was arguably the best #HOLIDAYPARTYDOWN yet!

A little backstory from Dart DJ: Our industry is an awesome and tight knit community of vendors and creatives who often work from home with a staff of one or two people. While we all work together on weekends, there is no office or weekday community for the large portion of us. As a result, we wanted to create a holiday party as a gathering for the larger "office" that is the wedding industry. Without agenda or networking, we wanted to create a party that was warm, festive and communal, a place where all of our friends could toast the end of the season and kick their shoes off for a day.

Prim & Pixie created realistic-looking signage for the evening. The gorgeous gold + leather "Bienvenue" signed welcomed guests through the front door above Found Rentals ' wrought iron NOLA-esque gate. The oversized #HOLIDAYPARTYDOWN decal became a fun spot for a photo-op.

GATHER Events shares, We decided to turn up the fancy dress factor this year and ask guests to wear their finest formal attire. It was amazing to see how excited guests were to have an excuse to dress up! It was the best dressed crowd we've seen in quite a while! The Black Tux's bowtie station was mobbed with people clamoring for an accessory.

The Whaling Club got everyone in the holiday spirit pouring the official cocktail of New Orleans, the Sazerac, along with Creole Daiquiris and Champagne Cocktails with ONEHOPE Sparkling Wine. Green, amber and clear pressed glassware from borrowed BLU made the cocktail presentation even more special.

Django Foxtrot warmed up the crowd with a sophisticated jazz set, The Shrines brought the house down with a full-blown dance party, and Dart DJ focused on the last hour, playing an after party set that got the crowd shaking and dancing through the venue.

Thanks so much to Dart DJ for having us on board! This is definitely an event that our industry looks forward to every year - and this year's holiday party was the perfect way to wind down 2015 and gear up for an amazing year ahead!
