It's time to throw open the doors to wonderful family wedding venue South of France, Chateau du Puits es Pratx. I am thrilled about showcasing this quirky family venue as it was first featured back on the blog in 2011 during our very first month, with the real wedding of Thalia and Jason.

Chateau du Puits es Pratx was also the setting for the real wedding with one of our most popular pins ever, for the retro style wedding of Dan and Caroline. The beautiful Chateau offers a wonderful backdrop for your dream wedding day and is also located in one of my favourite areas of France Languedoc Roussillon.

Let's find out more! Relax in a beautiful Napoleon 3rd wine Chateau near the Canal du Midi and Carcassonne in the South of France; escape to a part of France where the pace of life is slower. The Chateau is situated on the edge of the small village of Ginestas, which is a short distance to the beaches of Mediterranean sea and white water rivers of the mountains. The area enjoys 7 to 8 months of sunshine a year and has a tradition of delicious country produce and wines.

Chateau du Puits es Pratx offers relaxed family style accommodation ideal for a peaceful stay, the ideal venue for a beautiful, romantic wedding in a sunny climate and without any stress. The Chateau has a magnificent reception hall for musical entertainment and a beautiful inner courtyard for out door wedding banquets. Wedding blessings are held either in the vineyard, formal gardens or our local Church.

We provide accommodation for up to 40 guests within the Chateau estate & extensive exterior accommodation for up to 100 guests. Complete exclusivity is offered whilst staying at this family chateau, which has a true "home from home" welcome and is available for long weekends and mid-week weddings.

The on site restaurant provides affordable, seasonal, Mediterranean menus including breakfasts, lunches, snacks and event catering including wedding banquets, taking away all the worry about providing quality and inexpensive food for large groups. With extensive interior and exterior dining accompanied with wonderful wines from the Minervois region of the South of France, the Chateau can offer intimate family style weddings at an economical cost.
