Classic & Elegant Summer Village Hall Wedding - Whimsical...

via

I love this village hall meets classic wedding today.

Nick and Jo tied the knot last July in a church ceremony followed by a celebration at Hatton Village Hall in Warwickshire. They hoped to create a wedding which all of their guests could attend and wanted to keep the costs low.

A beautiful elegant feel was evident throughout, starting with Jo's stunning bridal look. Her lace Maggie Sottero gown was accessorised to perfection with a long veil, Manolo Blahnik heels and Peonies. Oh how I adore Peonies, swoon. Meanwhile Nick looked the dapper country gent in a check suit which made him really stand out.

A really very lovely summer wedding.

Thanks so much to Jessica Raphael Photography for sharing these gorgeous images today.

THE PROPOSAL | We met four years ago at a friends BBQ and then went on a date which lasted around eight hours and it pretty much went from there.

Paris - my favourite city and it may be cliché but it was perfect we were drinking red wine by the scare coeur over looking the whole of Paris.

THE VISION | We decided that our main aim was to have all our family and friends there, we wanted it on a Saturday so guests could make the day and try to keep the cost low. Once we found Hatton Village Hall, we then started to create the theme, it was vintage with a little elegance, just something a little different from the normal wedding venue, which is fine but we just wanted it to be relaxed.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | Pinterest is a massive help when planning your wedding to look for ideas I started my pin board and had a few ideas in my head which made me realise they are possible.

THE VENUE | Holy Trinity Church Hatton / Hatton Village Hall.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Dress - Maggie Sottero. Veil - Dessy. Shoes - Manolo Blahnik. Jewellery - Liberty in Love.

FINDING THE DRESS | The first dress I tried on, I knew I wanted lace and sleeves and this dress was a little different to the style I liked and I felt amazing. I did look around and go through a stage where I went off it but I was so happy with the dress in the end.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Suit is from Clements and Church, we wanted Nick to stand out so decided on check, it was a great experience for Nick to to have his suit made for him. The groom should feel just as good as the bride.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | My sister, her dress was Dessy and the colour chosen to match my shoes.

THE FLOWERS | The florist which I grew up with did my bouquet of flowers and I couldn't of asked for better, they were amazing so fresh and the colours were beautiful. For our centrepiece flowers we were lucky enough to have a friend who brought flowers from Birmingham flower market and created them for us the day before, saved us a lot of money and were done so well.

THE CAKE | M&S I knew their sponge would be good and I wasn't wrong plus it was in budget.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Jessica Raphael - made me feel so laid back and everyone felt like she was a guest, it wont be the last time I see her as my friends have either booked or ready to book Jessica in the future.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Creating the tables was my favourite part, lace cloths, blue and white vases with peonies. Pictures of all our guests for name cards and lemonchello for our favours (Italy was our first holiday).

THE HONEYMOON | San Fran, LA, Vegas. Amazing and so glad we went after the wedding to carry on the celebrations.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS |

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Just enjoy it!! When it's gone - you'll miss it.
