The Seaside can be a romantic and peaceful setting for your Wedding Day. The calm surroundings will put your mind at ease so you can relax, be fully present and enjoy the notoriously stressful day. Chris and Lindsay exchanged their vows at Miller's Point Resort just outside Simon's Town.

Lindsay recommends doing most of the planning yourself, keeping it simple but still special. The love-struck sweethearts were photographed beautifully by the talented Dawid Botha.

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

10 years ago on myspace, and after a few messages back and forth, I asked him out to a punk show. The rest is history!

I said Yes! | How did the proposal go down?

We were moving out of our old flat and I reached up to grab some thing still left in the top cupboard, of course it was a small little box. I looked at him and he bent down on one knee and popped the question!

The Big Day! | Tell us about your most memorable moment

Walking down the aisle and feeling all eyes on me, I was a bundle of nerves. However when I looked in Chris's eyes, I felt absolute calmness and could not let go of his gaze and hands. I think it was the same for both of us. The ceremony was such a beautiful setting right on the beach, it was peaceful and was just the way we imagined our special day to take place. That is some thing we will never forget, it felt like a fairytale.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides?

Don't go immediately to source a wedding planner. I did most of it myself, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I was able to save myself some money. It's only about you two, don't stress about how people will feel or think. Enjoy the moment and the day itself as it goes so quickly!
